A field strip of the B230T Adler and a few noiticable points of dirt build up causing potential stoppages in the field.
Picture of a full strip of the weapon.
Just keeping people informed about the Adler if they as re still wanting to buy one..
( I recommend you do).
Clever firearms in Brisbane is where I bought mine.
1st time I'd been there and they were an amazing crew.

Now that you've had this firearm for a while would you recommend buying it? I'm on the fence at the moment. Currently I have a side by side double, but would like a shotty with a few more rounds.

Nice to see it stripped down. Thanks for explaining how to do that. The price is certainly right on these new Adler straight pull Shotguns and 5 Year warranty is Excellent. With you confirming some magazine feed, stoppage issues, I'm leaning towards the more streamlined B220PG with 5 round tube feed. The B230 with detachable magazines looks a lot more Clunky when getting in and out of a car while Spotlighting. It's great NIOA is giving us three models to choose from, as we can pick the model that appeals to our use and preferences.

That's ok mate. U didn't have to put the bastard back together.. hahaha To be completely honest. For hunting out of a Ute window I would prefer the b220 pistol grip. But for looking cool and feeling bad ass , then the magazine fed 230 does the job... The feed issues have been rectified now after a bit of lube and magazine modification. Just a slight stretch of the top of the mag and a light lube of the magazine plate lug. Works a treat now..... Price is great and warranty is fantastic.... Good luck with which ever one you choose.... they are a fun bit of kit...

Cheers Twenti Two appreciate your review, I'm tossing up between this and the 220. How's the 230 holding up? I've heard of some scuffing around the ejection port, do you think there would be any issues with steel base shells with the alloy receiver? Also, the ambidextrous bolt. Is that something you think would develop some free-play over time? Finally any chance you could show the mag mod you did to help rectify the feed issues?
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
I'll make a video soon for you all and show you what I did to rectify the feeding issue that caused the constant jamming up.... Very easy....and effective.... The bolt handle has some free play in it from factory... I think being metal on metal the bolt handle may develop some wear over time but time will tell... ( if it does then swap sides.. hahaha) I've had a play with both 220 and 230.. Id honestly go the 220 if I had my time again....And only bought 1.. For the reason of feeding issues 7 round mag option Shooting from car Windows ( hard with a box mag) I'll be buy a 220 though soon... Just waiting on a few more over times..

Gday, have you carried it around the Bush on a sling, was wondering how it feels slung over ya back or shoulder with the big mag and handle.. does it dig into you? Great vid mate. Cheers
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there I've tried a traditional sling which was fine. It's on a swivel so it can move to the side so the mag doesn't dig into your back.. Or You could use a single point sling or military style sling. Same effect but more tacticool. Hahaa

Good Video thanks Have you compared the Adler with the Berika at all ? If so what’s your thoughts
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
Berika old.. yes.. But not the new approved version. I woild like to though... The Berika is a very nice shotgun I don't think it is twice the price better though for my application. It does feel smoother and does look more "tactical". I personally use the Adler only every now and then ( maybe twice a month). If i used it every week then maybe the more expensive Berika would be a better long term choice. Hope that confuses you slightly less mate Stay safe

Good run down on the gun mate, wondering if you used oil or gun grease for the receiver after pulling it apart? Or not needed just yet? Yet to use mine yet 👍
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate appreciate the comment. I just gave it a light oil with 4be after shooting. But When I first picked it up it had the "travel grease" on it. (To stop rust) So i had to clean that off before I went bush or to the range. I bet you are looking fwd to getting out with it.

@SlartiBartfast hahah yeah pretty much mate.. nah not oil infused .. Only use a few drops of oil on the cloth when u clean it. Not sure of the brand... but honestly just eBay a cleaning kit for the caliber you have. With a 12 gauge just look up shot gun cleaning kits.. All the same bro....

It looks like you can't use your right index finger to reach the mag release while still holding the pistol grip. Is that correct? If not, an extended mag release mod would be good. :)
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, bit of a stretch but I did a rapid shoot video with a quick mag drop... (sorta quick) Its easy to drop a mag but it's certainly not like an AR platform.. Yeah maybe a mod would be good.. but in all honesty it's pretty quick.. and if u cant kill it with 10 rounds.......RUN....

I was looking at getting the Dickinson T-1000 but since Adler have released this with the straight pull lever being able to moved to either the right or left side & the $ price I'm more leaning towards this
@mrmuzz5431
@mrmuzz5431 4 жыл бұрын
I actually shot the T1000 the other day. It's a nice bit of kit. But I prefer the Adler.. the are unbelievable simerlar to look at.. The cocking handle feels a bit nicer and it has the option to change the barrel to a 28 inch, Which the B230 does not. ( b220 does) but over all..... Adler wins... My Personal unbiased opinion.. The Berika Black ops Is pretty cool... But.... it's a bit controversial with the hippy..... and it's causing a ripple.. Adler have stayed outta the news this time..

Hey mate Sorry late reply. When i first picked mine up it had a bit of travel grease on it. I wiped it all off amd used a bit of cloth and wd40... Then i used gun oil and lighty lubed up every slide and every little bit i could. It is a very tight shotgun and the working parts need to be worked in order to wear them in. Keep the oil up and itll come good... A few stoppages at the start until the magazine stretched out a bit and got worn in. When cocking it.. Treat her mean.. Really work those parts. Don't try and be the fastest man in the West ( it'll jam).. trust me.. Cleaning products just normal gun oil and 4be cleaning cloth.. Enjoy it mate... its a fun bit of kit...
