Great tutorial as always! I was going a little crazy with this one though, bc trying your panning technique BOTH left and right channels were getting panned to the right or left by using Audition's defaults. I found that I needed to change "Panning Mode" in the "Multitrack" preferences to "logarithmic panning" (which simply attenuates one channel). Then I also needed to create a new track for the preference to take effect. Now I can follow the rest of the tutorial! If you have a better way of accomplishing this, please let me know! Ty!

Fantastic tutorial, mate. Thank you for this. I have just finished writing my first podcast episode and I want to use the same workflow that you show on tutorial. One thing I wanna find out is if you can create a preset on the editing? Any feedback much of help. Cheers

I would have optimized the source audio pre loudness correction. It looks like the audio source is too hot. Taking a source that hasn't been optimized prior to loudness correction can lead to aggressive limiting. Why not tame those peaks with compression?

hi Mike - I've been editing my podcast for many years in Audacity and have just switched (finally!) to Audition. You have lost me with 2 channels of your guest's audio. Why do you have 2 channels and why do you need to use the BUS? I always record my podcast in stereo. I like stereo plus I have some music as well which is in stereo. Each voice recording is in stereo, so all I need to do is to drag both files onto separate tracks, line them up, do the final editing and effects and mix them all. with music. No fuss. Could you please explain- thanks!

Hey ***** I use the same process, and I'm so happy that it is actually how a professional like you do it :) I have a question, what if there was an obvious quality difference between the output of my microphone and the far person's one? Thank you

Hi Mike. thanks for sharing this video.It was very useful. When following along, I got to mixing down the entire session but once I did that, the wav file it created was empty. Do you know why that might happen? Is there something I need to select before I do this?

Hey Mike, I noticed that you were applying some very large EQ boosts to your podcast tracks. I prefer to cut out the bad stuff rather than boosting the good frequencies, as it makes for more headroom. What was your rationale behind some of the EQ choices you made?
@MikeRussell
@MikeRussell 9 жыл бұрын
ShalMusicFX great question. I enjoy adding enhancements to spoken audio to make it stand out but it is a perfectly good idea to remove bad frequencies. Thanks for sharing your technique!

@@MikeRussell First, I want to compliment you on your incredibly clear and educational tutorials. And thank you very much for your response back. this does not happen very much. hahaha well what I actually mean by what is more for the DJ. how you can improve made mixes, for example. With sound of course. To be able to correct or remove any mistakes. Create your own beats, intros, outros, MC sound clips and effects. And finally how you can best add an animation. So that he is KZfaq ready. Greetings skip
