I like that it's more like a tool than just a generator. Also like that you can train your own so that it can potentially give you much faster/more efficient variations of your own custom work/design. This is definitely going to make whole industries just weird for the next decade or so though.

I've been working with adobe products since I was in highschool and over a decade later I've built multiple businesses with their tools. Seeing them continually expand their offerings gives me confidence that we'll be working together for a long time. Moving into Ai is just the next logical step, but the way they are bringing together multiple unique ai tools into their platform shows there effort to stay on the competitive edge.

This is what I am most excited about as well. I do alot of freelance work with my camera which is not the best camera and I often end up with blurry images or noisy images. This will be a total game changer for me.

AI is a tool just like Photoshop. Those who do not adapt are the ones left behind. You can learn to use the AI and combine it with your Photoshop knowledge to fix what the AI cannot, or you can give up just like the artisan who wouldn't trade his hand tools for machine tools.

There will always be a need for artists to produce very specific, narrow, custom designs. Of course, it'll sweep away the jobs of commercial artists doing generic advertisement stuff.

Totally. Every industry is going to have an ‘Adobe’ that harnesses AI, specific to that industries needs. Imagine law firms not needing to spend hundreds of hours trawling through piles of old cases and paperwork. Medical AI harnessing the latest and greatest discoveries from around the world. You’ll be able to get the most up to date treatment no matter where you live. NO industry is safe. This will be the far more wide spread and changing than the internet itself.

AI isn't going to replace those jobs. Lawyers for example won't be re-placed by AI, but rather lawyers who can use AI will replace those that don't/can't

@@hodonkeynutsyes, nobody is saying there won’t be lawyers anymore. But what happens when the 1 lawyer can do the work of what previously too 4, 5, 10 lawyers / associates / aids. AI is going to exponentially turbocharge the output of workers. Similar thing happened to my dad in the late 80s, early 90s. When 1 man and a computer replaced whole floors of mathematicians and engineers (he was a civil engineer). Fast forward to AI, and a similar thing is going to happen, but to every industry. Analysts think we’re going to see a flattening of business structures. Middle management with dozens of staff beneath them are no longer needed. Instead we’re going much more ‘small’ businesses, able to do the output of what previously took a large business. More start up, single person operations, sole traders etc.

3D model to image is astounding. You had color maps with ControlNet and Stable Diffusion, but depth maps is a whole other world of refinement.

Looks really exciting. Would be great if it could: - enable user to ask for specific angles and frame sizes (CU, MED, WIDE, Top down, etc) as a lot of AI seems to be flat on. - reusable 'characters' so you can create storyboards/style frames etc consistently.

MidJourney already supports this, and you can even specify apertures, lenses, and film looks. Firefly should be able to do the same.

It would be great if Adobe applications had a tool that could measure the relationship between different elements in terms of their percentage. For example, it would allow you to compare different logos to equalize their weight.

No one accepted their assets could be used to train AI before Firefly came out, now all the assets on adobe stock were part of Firefly’s training dataset,and there's no way to opt out from AI training. As the leader of software development for digital creators, Adobe should not launch such projects that infringe on the rights of digital creators.

I think it's a little naïve to expect them not to. These are potentially powerful tools, and Adobe would be foolish not to market a version with their brand stamped onto it. The drawbacks to AI imaging are largely a consequence of our political economy. Our society is not organized to equitably handle the development of technologies such as these, and it's not realistic to expect a single company, which is a wholesale product of that structure, to take action against its interests.

We can do all of that with stable diffusion already, but it is VERY good to see this in a simplier and directed interface for creators! I was thinking that Adobe sooner or later would use it's stockmimages database for such thing. It came out pretty quicly. 😂 Congratulations!

yes, sure there are others who were faster, but this seems really well thought through - and the fact alone that you can edit the pics further with Illustrator or Photoshop (with layers, as shown with the balloon) is pretty cool. Also to change specific things in the generated image without needing to generate a different image is pretty amazing. So I think it's good that they take their time to implement a proper tool to work with and use in all kinds of Adobe software.

I do love the text to image feautre so far. The text style feature I havent used that much yet. I could really use the feature where you put in a drawing and the ai changes it, so I am dying to see that happen

Hey adobe, how ‘bout using ai to automatic save when after effects crashes for the 10th time. Or, how about using ai to not have it crash in the first place. Or, let’s see, making it so I don’t have to continuously navigate to a specific folder to import even though I’ve been saving to that folder for the past hour. I don’t know, seems like there are other uses for ai other than having it make creative decisions for us. Let’s try and fix the hundreds of already existing bugs before you decide to help put us all out of a job. But, bet that doesn’t fit into your current business model. Oh well, ‘bout to restart illustrator for the third time today.

People who created these art AIs should feel like Oppenheimer did, after Hiroshima. But I doubt they have the moral backbone to feel that. The harm this will cause for new generations will actually out-do the nuclear bomb, because there's no half-life for this radiation. It's permanent and everlasting damage, from generation to generation. After thousands of years of art, we are the last true designers and illustrators that ever lived. "Was fun while it lasted"

Waw. I m struggling with the ai genrerator on the market to keep color of my scenes consistent. All feature to keep the same color on creating new scene is genius to let us creating comic or illustration book. We just need a more controlable prompting and voila. Give me a beta now please 😊

if Firefly does 80-90% of the design do we still pay for the full suite or is this just the equivalent of pay to win from adobe. So disappointing.
