hi! what did you do & how did you select some of the black lines w/o selecting them all, at 5:07? how did you make the unneeded parts in 5:43 disappear?
@DBLRedRibbon7 жыл бұрын
I believe they are grouped together after the 3d effect was applied.

to delete the unneeded parts he just selected them and hit the "delete" key on the keyboard. hope that helps

after going to expand appearance, how do i separate the front of the pattern from the back? i have tried selecting the sphere with both selection and group selection but it only selects the whole thing only? please help! :)
@MrErick11605 жыл бұрын
go in your layers, you"ll see there are different parts already cut for you. Select them one by one and check what patterns are in dront and what behind then delete the ones you don't need :D

Nice tutorial. Just some hint: After expanding the apppearance of the 3D effect (e.g. at 7:35 ) do not delete the unused patterns and the circle. Instead use it for correct positoining and sizing of your own gradient-circle. Delete the unsed stuff after centering your circle with the 3D stuff and adapt it to the proper size. This is much easier than sizing the circle by hand. Anyway great work :-)

Those who are confused on deleting the back side of the sphere, you need to expand appearance then ungroup twice, then you'll select the back layers and delete.

OtterPubes I did not say that the work was wrong , I also find it perfect, but I think it could be better if the tutorial was spoken. I think an arrogant attitude on your part. Have a nice Day.
@VectorMonster9 жыл бұрын
this was a speed drawing, but I do agree that a simple commentary could have made the video more clear. But then again its not a tutorial, the purpose of this kinds of video is to show the workflow and maybe find things that are new to you so you can apply it to your own. There are also different kind of learners, some by visual learning and some by auditory learning, this video was not intended for the latter.
