A rare work from one of the most influential musicologist from the 19th century- Adolf Bernhard Marx. He wrote many volumes on the art of composition and form. He had compositions of his own as he studied to be a composer, but most of his works did not gain popularity.
I found this score online, which is a piano and vocal score of an operatic oratorio. I decided to arrange it for orchestra and get it heard for the first time. This is the overture. I will gradually arrange the other parts of the oratorio. More coming soon.
