Adolphe-Abraham Samuel (11 July 1824 - 11 September 1898) was a Belgian music critic, conductor and composer.

The main body of the first movement is marked Allegro appasionato e tumultuoso. The tempo of the final movement is Allegro solenelle e brillante. I obtained the information here: www.svm.be/content/samuel-adolphe?display=article

Might I add a note on classical music nomenclature. The sections of a large work of music are called movements, not, as you have been calling them, "chapters". Thank you.

2nd movement: Brahmsian lyricism, Wagnerian harmony. More compact, restrained, fine-grained than Bruckner in my opinion. Very beautiful and full of intimate expression and detail.
