He was getting passed around by some of the male gods also since he had a androgynous approach. The moment they found him he was trapped. In other version the reason Persephone was in love with him was because she was his foster mother and Aphrodite who cursed his mom found him as a baby and eventually came back to see how he grown and then fell for him.

In a version of this story, Aphrodite finds orphaned baby Adonis and gives him to Persephone to be raised in the Underworld. He grows up being super hot and Aphrodite is like “Can I keep him?” and Persephone is like “Here to the nah!” That’s basically it. I like that version better because it’s unique for a mortal to be raised in the Underworld. Edit: recently found out that this version is older than the one in the video.

unny how short the myth is kept. That Adonis was originally entrusted by Aphrodite, as a baby, to Persephone to raise him was left out. From this point of view, Persphone then acts more like her mother Demeter and cannot hand over her "son" to the love-hungry stranger Aphrodite. While the version of Adonis being a quarrel between Persephone and Aphrodite is more popular, I think the worrying mother Persephone's version makes more sense when you remember that her birth son Zagreus was torn to pieces by the titans.
@psychedelicpayroll5412
@psychedelicpayroll5412 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s the version I see makes more sense. And you would think that on the surface Aphrodite wasn’t the only one taking advantage of him being a mortal. It was other male gods taking him as a lover also since he had a androgynous approach. They didn’t even think to even promote him to a god because they wanted to take advantage of him.

A headcanon on Hades's and Persephone's relationship: At first, Hades kept his actual appearance of a much older God married to his much younger niece. But after Persephone fell in love with Adonis, Hades became insecure about his form thinking that Persephone wouldn't love him as he is, so he took on a younger look closer to that of Adonis and started to act closer to his wife's age hoping that would win her back over.

I headcanon that he meets Mynthe or the other girl after this, but nothing happened as it felt more like heartfelt platonic romance compare to Zeus' and Poseidon's shenanigans However, the girls still eventually turn into plants by Persephone and one of them got stomped by her multiple times
@nathanielmartins5930
@nathanielmartins5930 Жыл бұрын
@@Duck-zf5pb My headcanon is that it was a moment of weakness on Hades's part, given that he was meeting an old lover of his, but he quickly came back to his senses as his love was now for Persephone. And simultaneously Persephone was swooning over Adonis behind Hades's Back. After the whole Adonis thing, Hades approached Persephone to tell her about what almost happened between him and Mynthe, taking pride in his loyalty and devotion to her, how he managed stay strong in the face of Mynthe's seduction however close she got to seizing him, and that is when Persephone confessed about what had been going on between her, Aphrodite and Adonis. Hades just embraced her, both laughing off the coincidence of how both of them were going through similar situations at the same time. But inside, what Persephone said almost broke Hades, in face of seduction, he stayed devoted to her, while she in face of a mere mortal that was happily spending his days with Aphrodite, she went on his pursuit. That is when the thought that his devotion to Persephone might just not be enough after all to keep her happy started to seep into his mind, and it was what pushed him to change his attitudes and appearance to be closer to Adonis.

Although Persephone might have cheated on Hades, it seems to me that it’s only because of Eros pulling a prank that went haywire. It look like that Persephone was just happy to see a happy couple before Eros appeared and shot that arrow

It's not 'might', she did. it doesn't technically matter whether or not it was because of Eros arrows that cause Persephone to fall for Adonis, She CHOSE to be unfaithful despite knowing she is already married to her husband. His friend and seatmate moved to sports class though, and he moved to the class of the newest teacher. Edit : his friend and seatmate was a guy, the class president and the seatmate were no longer 'shipped' or have 'crushes' on Adonis. But the 2nd place of our 1st periodical test STILL likes the dude. I love Greek myths. Even the gods are helpless to fight their own inner lusts and passions. Imagine gods who are all powerful, but not all good. Sometimes, you can make a case that the Greek gods better mirrored reality than any other Western religion. Sometimes it's very hard to believe that an all loving God is running the Universe. Christians spend much of their time "apologizing" for God the Father when compared to his running of things. The Greeks didn't have to. They accepted the wild, irrational nature of life as a given.
