Another disc tip stylus from Adonit. It has a smaller body, smaller disc tip and still works as expected.

1:38 - Dang, I wish I had watched this before ordering mine! I was looking for a capacitive stylus for use with Krita on my touchscreen laptop, haha. Still a very nice stylus, though; gonna look into digital drawing options on Iphone to make good use of it. Thank you very much for all your comprehensive coverage on this topic.

Their plate comes apart too easily and once it's lost you've got to spend too much money to replace it. Don't expect to know when the freaking plates disappeared because you can literally sneeze or scratch your ass and they'll fly away and when the plate is gone you cannot draw with the pen point alone. I had 2 pens from them that didn't last 3 days.

Excellent review as always. 👍 Nice to know about a product before hand. Thanks Teoh. 😄 I had some Pilot G2s a fine 0.7mm and a bold 1.0mm that I normally write with. I put water based marker strokes over the pen lines forgetting that they were Pilot G2s. As it turns out their ink is at least water based marker proof. I don't know if they'd hold up to watercolor or alcohol markers. But thumbs up 👍 for water based markers.

Pilot pens usually are not waterproof unless otherwise stated. I think only their Pilot technical pens are waterproof. Those pens are rare.

Yeah I found out a couple of hours ago that they're not waterproof. Tried and failed lol. But they do hold great under water based markers. And the ink is a nice black that I like. 👍

Hi Teoh. I see Amazon UK (via your blog's affiliate link) also have the Adonit "Mini 4 Sketch" which looks nice and has an interesting way of storing the tip, reversed into the stylus body. I have not used a stylus previously, but I have a touch screen Windows laptop, Chromebook and Android devices, so it's something I am seriously considering now. Thanks for the review :-)

Hey, do you have recommendation for samsung galaxy tab s2? I am unsure what pen to get. I need it to take lots of notes. Thank you!

For Samsung tablets, usually if the device doesn't already come with the stylus, it's probably not going to support active stylus. Disc tip is not good for taking notes. Check out Adonit Dash 3 www.parkablogs.com/content/review-adonit-dash-3-stylus-touchscreen-devices

I'm planning on using my iPad Air 1 for notetaking and drawing graphs. Would you recommend that I get a stylus with a disc tip or the type of stylus with a thicker metal tip? Thank you so much from across the Causeway. Your videos have been very informative & helpful to me :)

Disc tip is accurate but the disc may get in the way of writing at times. Fine tip is easier to write with but sometimes the lines have misalignment from the pen tip. For writing, probably fine tip despite the downside.

@@teohyc Thanks! I've been on the fence for a week or so. I'm thinking of getting a stylus from a Chinese OEM. I can't really justify the cost of getting a better stylus as I'm using an old iPad and I'm not using it for drawing much. I doubt I'd be maximising the value of one of those quality styli.
