Then there's that light bulb moment that our little students have... You can't put a price on that! And, I must add teaching has also helped me to see the hurting child in adults, causing me to love everyone better 🥰 Teaching pays you over and over in many ways but if there's a vote to raise our salaries, you can count on mine 😜

When I visited this site and saw the little one on the front row with the sweet smile, being flirty with the camera and presenting a curtsy to start the performance, I knew something amazing and special was about to happen. @@lorimav where did you see that I said she was shy?! I said that “I was shy as a child” and that I wished I could’ve been more outgoing like the little girl dancing and entertaining everyone. I said I wish someone could’ve comforted the girl covering her face. I never actually said she was shy. I will say this though, she is doing things that I did as kid. I was a high anxiety shy little girl. Kids cover their faces or eyes this way to protect themselves from humiliation. As long as she can’t see all of them, then they can’t look at her. Obviously it doesn’t mean that people can’t see her. But it’s helping the little girl get through this little concert all on her own . I did stuff like this all the time as a kid, so I’m pretty sure you’re wrong bc I went through these same kinds of issues as a kid and can spot it from a mile away 🤷🏻♀️

@@southerngrown I also did not discount the possibility that she is shy. I just said a dislike for the song might be a factor too. If I were shy and/or self conscious adding to it having to perform an activity that I felt was silly, immature or degrading and/or not to my taste would increase my feelings of discomfort. Being shy and/or self conscious in an activity I approve of or that I feel makes me look in a favorable light would be better than being shy and/or self conscious doing an activity I hate or think is not to my standards. I used to hate the Macarena a popular dance a while back. I felt it was degrading. I would not do it not out of shyness but because I was not about to be peer pressured into doing something I didn't like. For me as a kid of her age I would have felt that this dance was for much younger kids and would not have appreciated doing it. Sometimes the oldest and the onlys in a family are like that.

One of my favorite social media videos! She’s hilarious and adorable. You know she is destined to be a comedian or actress. I think you point out exactly the issue with nowadays 'snowflakes'. Because you would take her in your arms instead of forcing her to be on the stage which she dislikes, she would never learn to be out of her comfort zone. The worst thing the parents of this girl could do is take her off the stage and keep her in their arms. The girl would be happy for that moment but it doesn't help her to grow into a strong independent woman one day.

I've watched this video many times. I just love this performance. This brave beautiful young lady is not afraid to express herself and boy at this age I pray she continues to do so. She will go far in life. She exceeds in herself expression and rythem even have a audience and does her little courtesy shows how proud she is. I believe she will always be this is me personality.
