Adorable moment wild elephant SLEEPS in the middle of the road

4 жыл бұрынThe elephant, called Nga-Thong, was spotted in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Motorist Nattawat Patsungsing, 57, filmed the incredible beast lying on the road. Mr Patsungsing said the animal lay still for about 20 minutes before slowly getting up and staring at the car. Wildlife officials said the elephant often lies on the concrete road for warmth.

@@techniksnoob5494 I know. I lead safaris to Africa and we are with lots of elephants there. But I have seen drivers push and get too close etc just for effect.

Almost sat on an elephant seal at the beach. I thought it was a tree trunk. I smelled something awful. It moved and I ran the 100 yard dash under 8 seconds. I was pregnant ( : SLOW for me actually. Love ALL elephants now.lol

Looks like a set up to me. Elephant pretends to be injured, concerned motorist get out to help, elephant jumps up and steals your car, happens all the time - lucky this driver was wise to these criminal elephants.

I read somewhere that the elephant's trunk is the single largest muscle of all land animals. The tail muscle of the blue whale is the largest in the world.

In fact that is very hard for the elephant to lie down like that on the hard concrete surface. They like to sleep on the soft mud surface instead.

Tahtahme's Diary This is the main road through Khao Yai National Park in Thailand. The animals rule this reservation area they can roam freely. If we encounter an elephant on this road we must stop 30 meters away from an elephant stay in the vehicle keep the engine on and contact the National park officer or wait until it move away. We can’t honk at an elephant and if we want to take some photos we can’t use flash. As in this video the man ask an elephant to wake up in a very polite way.
