Hey man, thanks. Been in this burnout recovery for 15 months now. I truly believe cfs, lc and afs are all burnouts of your body. It’s going better and better but it’s a slow process.

The sympathetic nervous system prepares your body to either run from danger or fight back. The parasympathetic nervous system relaxes your body after periods of stress or danger.

When I stay off the screens I feel so alone because I don’t have the energy to get out and be around people. The loneliness feels like a stressor… I’m stuck

It’s the jump you have to make mate - you want a change. Even if you were bored for a year then recovered it’s better than what you have now for another 5-10 years. Short term pain in the grand scheme of things to get your life moving . You can do it!

You are a blood legend mate. Still have CFS since watching your video 7 years ago . Back on the carnivore diet after watching several carnivore docs . low fat vegan never worked for me . Carnivore is the only diet that gives me a boost of energy . Dr Berry believes autoimmune is driving my CFS and to stay on carnivore for at least 6 months . I thought it was bad on the kidneys but he said its the only diet that will heal them . Do you still do skype consults mate?

The only diet that helps kidneys is a truly bizarre statement. So many of these influencers are so biased it goes beyond reason. Depending on the person and there main driver of disease decides what works for them. If you’ve got diabetes and blood sugar issues like many of Berry’s audience then yes it will help removing all carbs but I do not believe it is the answer. Who really wants to be carnivore for life unless it’s the only way to heal (eg Mikala Petersons story). I believe autoimmune is extremely prevalent in most people with disease and following an AIP template will probably help. I personally can’t do low fat vegan either.. I feel best with lots of olive oil, coconut, avocado etc. if you follow berry’s advice just don’t listen to his coffee advice, that’s his addiction talking. If your diet is working you don’t need coffee for energy. If you need coffee to get going your account balance is too low and should be listened to. Not listening to our body is what gets us into this mess in the first place. But yes I think you have to listen to your body and if that diet is giving you positive feedback right now you’ve got to listen! Thanks for the comment mate. I’m preparing my website book etc to make a full go at it and consults will be included 👍

I sorted my kidney issues out not following any of his advice. I just think it’s ridiculous when carnivores / vegans say THIS is the only way because it’s so blatantly false!!

I wonder how many people here feel more crappy in the cooler months? I feel 20% better when I am out in sun getting Vitamin D (without sunblock) The Vitamin D tablets don't work for me . On a low carb diet with lots of healthy fat with vitamin D for the sun works for me . Still have CFS though

My mood etc is much better in the sun. I absolutely love being in the sun. In the future I’d prefer to live in a hotter climate. Northern England is a bit bleak for weather !

Any advice on emotional eating? My biggest hurdle is turning to junk food, sugar, caffeine as its the only thing that gives me temporary happiness.

I was the same at the start of my journey. I had good alternatives like dates for sugar with almond butter in. For caffeine try dandelion coffee or another alternative. I loved molasses + liquorice. When I felt low and would use food to sooth at least it was real ingredients

I have the same problem. It feels like a powerful drug addiction. When I stop the bad foods/sugar/caffeine fixes I feel so much worse I can't function at all.

I still want to see you go pro as some form of chronic illness coach and/or advocate. The universe is forever out of kilter, until you consistently receive enough money to allow you to devote your working hours to enable people to recover fully.

The best pro athletes are amazing in rest and recovery. They push their body to the max in training, competition, but the rest of the time they can completely relax and just sleep all the time or eat good food.. When I was doing bodybuilding and I had rock solid routine it was great. I think for normal people it should be the same. Just they don't do sports but they work. Work can be hard on the body, but at least after the work is done we should give the body all the rest it needs. But who does that or even can if people have family and kids.. I mean I have no family and I have hard time even just work full time. Can't imagine work full time + be head of the family and father. I really envy people who have handle family, work, hobbies. It is complete sci-fi for me..

It’s definitely not easy and I think for most it’s the fact you have no other choice! Once you have a kid that’s it and you’ve got to put them first. You really have to be efficient with time… one thing most parents don’t do that they should is go to bed with their kid early. I think that’s the key
