BTW, three of the Young Posse have writing credits on this song. Among them is the "okay okay okay" girl, Jiana, whose lyrics at 3:36 say "It's only been 2 months since I learned rap, writing lyrics is really hard" but she did so well I think. Oh, and according to kprofiles, she's supposed to be their _main vocalist._

korean drill actually took over the k-hiphop scene during 2022-2023. show me the money 11 was literally filled with k-drill rappers lmao. right now tho its kinda over saturated hearing drill in k-hiphop, but at least its a first that a girl group actually had a concept like this.

@@Adrey SMTM 11 last year was like 50% drill, it's been super trendy for a few years now in Korea. NSW Yoon was actually my favorite contestant on that season. Lee Youngji was also on it. If you ever wanna get into K-hiphop there is no better gateway than SMTM. Think you'd enjoy it tbh, there's a reason it has 11 seasons and tons of chart topping songs coming out of the show.

You nailed it. This is k-pop drill. They are literally the OGs of drill in k-pop. Cant think of another group that does it. Most groups are trapped in the "trap" era of rap. Yeonjung literally is my favorite in the group because of what you mentioned, she raps authentically and you can feel its so much less imitation and more pure attitude and swagger. If you like this song. You would love OTB by them. Literally a drill term meaning "Over the bridge" but it means "Our summer memories" to Young posse.

YP’s debut album is criminally underrated. The original “Posse Up” should’ve been their debut title track instead of Macaroni cheese! I just don’t think the K-pop fans were ready for a k-trap/k-drill girl group….yet!

Verbal Jint is a big name in Korean hiphop scene. And NSW yoon is a rookie rapper in Korea. So, I guess it is just another "hip hop meets kpop" strategy like BTS, Bigbang, Mamamoo did in previous kpop generation.

I dont think so. Young Posse write their own lyrics and even reference artists like Fivio Foreign. It feels like they do know about hiphop and not just riding the wave like some kpop groups.

Talking about korean drill i really reccomend 3RACHA by 3Racha, They are part of Stray Kids, idk if you have already heard about them but they are basically the 4th gen of kpop leaders, the most succesfull group right now, plus they write and PRODUCE all of their music, i think you will appreaceate them
