Adrian Moss G50 Rickman Matchless Scrambler

Күн бұрынIn this vide we take a look at a very rare machine and this particular bike was built and engineered by Rickman Motorcycles owner Adrian Moss. The bike is unique in that it is one of the only bikes in the UK that has a road racing Matchless G50 Fourstroke engine as its power plant.

My Dad raced a 1971 Husqvarna 400 cross after 5 yrs on a triumph 650 cross country racing. I cleaned up and have been riding both bikes for the past 20 yrs. There's nothing like the husky on the pipe or the triumph burning corners what a blast

A really lovely presentation. These wonderful bikes and all associated around them need to be remembered... Quality... without doubt. Thank you... Simon an old enduro rider who loves any four strokes... especially British...now retired in Spain 👍

I would argue that he had an unfair advantage on the perfect setup of that wonderful bike. Superb handling and very decent acceleration. Hugely enjoyable to study and watch performing. Thank you for sharing.

The main advantage was Andy's natural skill and experience, to jump on a strange unridden bike and win !

@@CliffH49 True. I was partly joking. But a particularly special OHC road race engine in a lightweight scrambler frame is always going to accelerate quickly out of corners. There’s a huge amount of confidence to be derived from that.

I'm somewhat surprised a road race engine worked so well off road, I would have thought the power characteristics would be quite wrong. That open pipe must have sounded wonderful at any race meeting!

Do you know how old Adrian Moss would be ? I went to school with a fella called Adrian Moss and it makes me wonder

Adrian is currently 76.

@@monticlassictv Thanks Yeah nah the fella I'm thinking of would be in his mid sixties The Adrian Moss I'm talking about attended my primary school here in Australia for a few years in the 1960's and I believe his family have then returned to England Thanks again
