“Serve as an example for others.” Adrianna is a second year medical student in the College of Medicine. She credits the FSU College of Medicine SSTRIDE program as her gateway to choosing FSU as her home for med school. She has a special interest in mental illness and addiction and hopes that the work that she does involving mental both will breakdown the misconceptions and stigma around the two. She is a co-founder of the FSU College of Medicine - Addiction Medicine Interest Group. Her advice to those thinking about pursuing a graduate degree: “Believe in yourself and find others that believe in you too! Mentorship is important, so identify people that have done what you hope to accomplish.”
Future goals: Adrianna hopes to enter a residency in an underserved, urban area.
