That's interesting you know, because she talked in an interview about awareness that we are alive and to try not to loose that, realize that there's always mistery and new things in life and the world to discover. And she also said that when she makes music she is connecting with that awareness of life and her own spirit.

I am experiencing a half return. In two months I'm returning to my childhood bedroom after four years in the military. I'll go to school again, this time for a higher education. I'll walk the same streets again. I'll be back where I was, where I never wanted to be again. However, I won't be the child I was. I've changed, maybe for the better.

the thing that's beautiful about anything is that you can sing along with a smile on your face or tears rolling down your cheek, or rather both. it is such a melancholic song, that is so peaceful yet so painful to listen to. you can take any piece of the lyrics from the song, and relate it to yourself, repeating it endlessly in your head. the lyrics are so tender, and vulnerable, that you start to think to yourself how adrianne sings this without choking on her tears. i wish her nothing but endless happiness.

thanks to tiktok i’ve discovered her music in recent, i’m not sure how i haven’t come across these masterpieces sooner. this is by far the best version of some of her songs here in my opinion, “anything” alone made me start bawling. tiktok has never introduced me to beautiful music like this, i’m so glad to have discovered her discography later rather than never. beautiful

@@johnentwistle952 disagree strongly on kozelek. His music is drenched in ego and narcissism even when (actually especially when) he embodies the positions of others. Lenker's music often (not always?) goes all the way into own trouble using the canon of folk to do it, and I feel Lenker and feels way more honest because of that. (the latter point is a matter of taste, but I do think the stylistic difference in the former point makes Lenker far more like Nick Drake and Elliott Smith than kozelek or someone like that).

Just bumped into her through a random video on KZfaq about open tunings on guitar.. She started singing.. And she totally got my soul in a sec. Just bought 2 of her albums on Vinyl (I am a record lover). She reminds me of José Gonzalez in a way... Really like what she does

Adrienne's performances at home were some of the best to come out while everyone was in lockdown because she was living remotely in a caravan out in open land. It was so warming to see her share her work from what felt like some other world when all we were seeing from most artists was the inside of bedrooms and apartments
