Managing a large sample and loop library is demanding and ADSR has the BEST manager tool available for FREE! I’ve been using it for years and have tried other sample and library tools along the way, but keep coming back to ADSR. But learning all the subtle features can take time. A lot of the capabilities are buried behind small icons on the main screen.
In this RAW talk, I’m skipping the basics and focusing on features and tips you’d actually use to find the samples and loops you need for your latest song. Matching the key and tempo are just part of the challenge, and while tags and great, not all downloaded samples are tagged as you expect. Still, there’s so much free content available out there, you can build a huge library for almost zero investment.
I use ADSR as my primary sample and loop manager, but I also use Logic’s loop browser and Loopcloud. They each have certain pros and cons.
