These videos remind me of my dad who used to work for simplex testing fire alarm systems in schools. He used to give me the old retired equipment and even took me on a few jobs to test the alarms.

@@only_ramenYou couldn't hear the horn outside though, so I guess it wasn't TOO bad. Now the first elementary school I attended had the old bullhorn-style Edwards (I think) 5520-N5 horns, if that was the model number from the 1950s. That thing could be heard a block down the road!

I like the chime sound that commander makes is cool, I always liked the multi-tone alarms. Also may I ask how you got the 12v siren to work on a 24v panel? are you using a resistor or is it a separate power supply?

If I'm correct, there's a relay in the panel that he is utilizing, so he has to have a separate power supply to use for the siren.
