Adult Beginner Western Riding Lessons - Button review and Control exercises

1 horse with 1 family.
Even if riders are different heights a horse can be ridden by multiple people. The key is use the same buttons.
This is a first adult riding lesson with the family horse.

You should have "let's review week". All seriousness, I met a young girl who couldn't even put on a western saddle, but she rides good. I tried teaching her, but finally sent her over to watch your channel. I didn't remember if you had a video of putting on a western saddle and even putting on the bridal, but there are so many people I personally know that just don't know how to do it. I'm tired so pointing them ALL to you.

So many barns focus on riding, excluding any actual horsemanship training. I know riders who have been riding for years, are BEAUTIFUL in the saddle, but have never lunged a horse, cleaned a saddle, or mucked a stall. I wish instructors would work a bit of basic knowledge in now and then.

@@Kelly_Ben // SO TRUE and that's a darn shame. I like to do it all. It gives me the "whole horse" experience. It should definitely be taught along with riding, so I 100% agree with you.!!

This riding pen is more oval than round. Sides are about 100 feet x 60 wide. The panels are set up for rounded corners. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your comment. Horses are trained to move away from pressure. Each button moves part of the horse, The Forequarters, the ribcage and the hindquarters. This gives you control of the entire horse's body and is the foundation for everything from turning, sidepassing, and execution of a spin.
