This is a video about Connie, my adult female Guyana True Red Tail Boa Constrictor. She is a calm, curious and gentle snake. She is the mother of 2 litters, and I'm also sharing videos of her babies on my channel. She is still building back condition from her litter 4 months ago. I talk a little bit about adjusting feeding based on desired weight.

She's about 7 feet, and 12-13lbs. I believe they need 6 foot cages. The size on true red tails is funny. They are both smaller and bigger than people think. She's not much smaller than the male, but she is a lot easier to handle.

Do you remember her size at 3 years of age. I have a Guyana, i got her as a 3 year old, she is about 5 - 5 1/2 feet in length and 6lbs. Your snake is beautiful and looks a lot like mine, just a bit bigger. Would love to get mine to the size of yours at some point.

Seems about right, Mine are usually 4-5 feet at three and 5-6 at four.

Animal plastics. I order them all with double ventilation. Their lead times are long.

That's large? Why have the boas shrunk since the 90s

"Adult" Average size for the species is 6-9 feet and 15-25 lbs. She's a bit over 7 feet. Boas in the 90's very often overfed, resulting in larger size.

Also, unseen is that I'm 6'4" and have xxl sized hands. These boas can get very large, 10-12 feet. But, most are not that sized. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
