Күн бұрынA comparison between the PSS and the A052 during the LS Fest 2020. I loved the fun factor of sliding the car around on the PSS and the fact that the tire is so predictable and durable. The new A052 is also a very fast and impressive tire.

I’ve been using AO52 on my daily s2k and yes they are amazing in dry weather but be prepared to throw rocks everywhere lol they wear out quickly and are sketchy in the rain for those reasons I will be trying the Michelin pilot sport 4s next they are cheaper, last longer and can be driven in all weather, thank you for a great video.

How's the road noise of the A052 vs the PS4S?

@@CrapPCdamn I haven’t tried the ps4s yet but I don’t here any road noise with the a052 I dare say the ps4s wouldn’t be very loud either considering they are used in tonnes of new production cars.

Not to sound mean or anything but I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to daily A052s. Lol Absolutely amazing tire but I couldn't imagine blowing them on a daily.

Actually Michelin Sport Cup 2 is the best street legal tyre. But if you are going to drive with rain Michelin Sport 4S is better option.

I've had the PS4S on my 370Z for the past 17K miles and while there is a lot to like about the tire I don't like its soft sidewalls. While that makes it nice in creating a less harsh ride, it gives up a lot in steering response and precision during cornering.

Definitely...it's not the best at anything but it's good at everything. I like the versatility of the PS4S, and it will outlast a CUP 2, A052, or any other soft R compound tire that really only performs in dry conditions.

Thanx for this comparison! I've run a track day and an autox event on PS4S, and was wondering how much time I was giving up. I thought perhaps 2 seconds on the track, but your experience would suggest double that! I am having A052's mounted on new race wheels this week, and look forward to seeing how it does at the track/autox.

You’re welcome. It’s the best 200TW tire out right now IMO. The PS4S is an amazing tire that you can track in any condition but for dry traction it doesn’t compare to the A052.

@@time_on_target I had been running RE-71R's for the past few years. Great autox tire, but only good for 1-2 fast laps at the track before getting greasy. The tread actually lasts fairly long for a 200TW tire, but grip is lost well before tread is gone.

@@apordonez I’ve run RE71Rs before too. I’d say the A052 won’t heat cycle out as quick as the RE71R. I only had two days on the A052 but that included about 3 hours of track time and they still had lots of life.

You can’t even compare those it’s not even a close comparison. You said yourself it’s a much softer tire compound. So obviously you should be much faster with the softer compound. Like comparing apples and oranges

It's not so much a comparison of performance but trying to figure out which tire is best for you. Is your car a dedicated track car or daily driver? If it's a daily driver that you don't trailer to track events then the PS4S is probably the better tire. If you want a tire that lasts multiple events then the PS4S is the better tire. If you're only concerned with dry lap times then I would go with the A052. Me personally, I'm going with the PS4S. Less wear on the car i.e. suspension, brakes, etc and more smiles per gallon. I like to skid about and have fun, not trying to set a record lap time. The PS4S is a little more friendly as you're carrying a lot less speed into and out of corners. Just my opinion. @@time_on_target maybe you should s Change your title then. Also, the PS4S is a very different tire than the PS, and the PS4S was not even in your video! Why even mention it? I think you’re full of crap. You also don’t even show the first laps on the PS like you do with the AO52! So for all we know it was 40 laps in and tire temps through the roof! Misleading at best, load of horse crap is what it is
