Unlocking the 2nd level of certification in scuba diving- the PADI Advanced Open Water Course! After completing the 1st level, that is the Open Water Course, it was time to take my scuba diving skills to the next level- all amidst the stunning backdrop of the Andaman Islands (India) 🏝️🐳
The Advanced Course certifies you to dive down to a depth of 30 meters making a lot more, deeper dive sites accessible to you. During this course you get to learn and refine your diving techniques and explore a variety of specialty dives, all aimed at making you a better diver. In the Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, we had to swim through a hula hoop as a part of our training, to improve our buoyancy control while diving. For me, the highlight was definitely the night dive. Doing any adventure activity at night automatically doubles the thrill and adventure, with an added element of mystery of exploring the big blue unknown in complete darkness. 🔦🌙

As the course progressed, I found myself so much more confident in the water, allowing me to completely immerse myself into the fascinating world of scuba diving. It's safe to say, the Advanced Open Water Course has me hooked! Hooked to the feeling of floating weightlessly amongst sea creatures, hooked to the sense of freedom and wonder that comes with each dive. It has evoked a newfound appreciation for the marine world. While I absolutely can’t wait till I go diving again, but in the meantime- you need to add ‘getting a scuba diving license’ to your bucket list, if you haven’t already! 🌊🌀🐬
