hi, amazing concepts! thanks for sharing! I like the idea of having more rope to make the fall more dynamic with the pulleys but maybe you can put each rope to a different side so the main tyrollean is pulled even?

In theroy a great solution but in practice, if you are using it to lower (a great Benifit to using this system) it makes it super annoying to use. With twin tensioned heavy duty nylon webbing, strength isn't a huge concern, it's important to keep in mind when building the anchor Point however.

Love it! Would like to see your thoughts on the harness/jumper end

Yeah for sure, could be another interesting video. Typically I'll throw a 1t round sling though the harness in a basket hitch, so as to create a system that both ends must be tied into. Then the jump ropes can be double sheet bended into the spanset. its big and bulky, but thats the point, gives people something to hold onto and the big bend radius's make it easy to untie. If its a lower off rig, usually a Gri Gri on one strand with a captive style belay biner and a loose backup with a mega strong locker on it that can be unclipped before abseiling down. It's definitely the most dangerous part of the rig. Not because its complicated or sees high forces, but because it has an un-rated and unpredictable person attached to it. I've seen close to 30 or so serious near misses on rope swings and im struggling to think of any that didn't involve the jumper fucking up. So i guess if theres any take away from the harness attachment, its that you shouldn't ignore the elephant in the room. Finally, always have a chest harness, even a simple thin 120cm sling twisted and passed over the shoulders is enough to help prevent someone breaking their back. remember it should be tight enough you can't stand up straight on the exit point, otherwise its just cosmetic.

@@lerrynhawke3375 usually whatever is strongest and on hand haha, I'm not a huge fan of big steelies as the weight can be a bit of a hazard. I think camp make some 40kn alloy lockers, they'd probably be the best bet but honestly if you can make sure the orientation won't flip, any nice alloy will do. Using a barrel knot or the belay specific designs will help. Ideally it's not great to be taking a backup whip onto a cross loaded biner, so either make it strong enough to deal with it or make sure it's oriented correctly. Something else to keep in mind is the backup rope tension, if the swing isn't far off the ground both ropes should share the load since a slack backup, although easy to unclip will be useless if theres too much stretch. When there's lots of height available, I prefer to run the backup strand looser though. One rope taking the impact means a softer catch and less change of someone getting stuck unable to detach a loaded backup (always because they've forgotten how to use a hand ascender)

I did have a heavy friend who bent a grigri on a lower down jump the other day and am thinking of the best way to delete the grigri as it's only good for 80kg from memory.. thoughts?
