Social entrepreneurs are active, innovative individuals who aim to effectively address social, economic, or environmental problems using business approaches.
Strong social enterprises enhance social services in the country, revitalize remote areas, preserve traditional culture, provide access to education, and facilitate the labor integration of vulnerable groups.
The Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) has been has been working on the development of social entrepreneurship since 2009. To further strengthen these efforts, in 2021, with the support of the European Union and Bread for the World, we launched a large-scale 3-year program collaboration with a consortium that included both local and international partner organisations: CSRDG; Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA); Civil Society Institute (CSI); Impact Eurooe (formerly EVPA); Georgian Civil Development Association (GCDA); Democratic Development Union of Georgia (DDUG); the LEPL Youth Agency.
