These critics have to be careful about what they are saying as Adventureland IS a real park and it was NEVER run down. In fact I worked at the real Adventureland in 1987, the same year the director of this movie worked at the park (and the era the movie is based on) It was in no way shape or form run down. Neither is Kennywood (the park they used in the film). Both parks are excellent family parks and well kept.

this movie fails.. really its not worth it, so long as you were hoping for what the commercial advertised as being funny, quirky, clever, and a "romp" like superbad. its a teen angst love story about you betrayed me so i betrayed you kinda stuff. i mean its a great movie, granted thats what your looking to see. superbad lovers, this is not for you, nor i.
