I respect character actors/actresses so much. It must be so hard to improvise conversation in character for hours at a time, especially when you have no idea what kids will say sometimes!
@DreamingUpDemming
@DreamingUpDemming 6 жыл бұрын
I am a retired actress from Disney. It gets easier as time goes on, but kids will for sure keep you on your toes lol. I had a harder time improvising with adults, because sometimes you feel silly talking with other adults that don't believe.

I will never forget my first Disney Magic experience at Epcot. We took my daughter and nieces (age 9, 6 and 3 at the time) in 2010 and I made reservations for the princess character lunch at Akershus, on the only day we would be at Epcot. Unfortunately, I had accidentally made the reservation for the next day! When the host advised us of this, my daughter started tearing up and the hosts immediately told us it was no problem and they would find room for us as soon as they could (it was a really busy day during Spring Break). I was so grateful and have always held a bit of a soft spot for this restaurant.

I cannot express how MUCH i love these in depth tours. There is so much that we missed when we were there. I hope that you do go eat at sit down restaurant at each land. I would love for you to do land (area) tours at every theme park. You make it feel like we are there. Thank you sooooo much for all of your and Jenns hard work.

My family loves Akershus breakfast. We make it the first thing we do on any trip to Disney. It’s got some Norwegian foods but most of the fare is familiar for picky eaters. Lunch and dinner has far more authentic items to try. But the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had on property (especially for character meets) and the interactions with the princesses are great. One of my favorite moments came from my wife and I’s first solo visit. Aurora came to our table and my wife burst out crying and hugged her. Aurora looked startled until I said, “You’re her favorite.” She nodded and was right back into character. Also, I lerve me some of them there cheesy breakfast potatoes.

Love these videos. As an ex U.K. cast member I can’t wait for you to visit my old pavilion! Only 9 more countries to wait lol. Maybe you should get a cast member from each country to do your outro ‘of now it’s time to pay the price’ in their respective language? 😁

My great grandmother was from Norway, and participated in the resistance to the Nazis during WW2. She would not tell my father how many she took out, but according to my grandfather, it was quite a few! Her first husband was Norwegian, and they named their son Tron. Probably not the inspiration for the Disney film, but I always thought it was cool. :)

Whats her name? Concidering she " took out quite a few nazis" she would be pretty famous. Most of the women that did help during the invasion did so by passing messages while working as nurses, providing shelter or other non violent but still verry risky and dangerous tasks! Would like to know as I am verry interessted in ww2 espescially regarding the stories regearding reistance here in my own country, thanks :)

We loved Akershus when we visited last summer. I highly recommend it. We mainly went for the princesses but the food was spectacular. I particularly had fun trying the Scandinavian things on the buffet. The most unusual things ended up being some of my favorites. My personal opinion is that this character dining experience is a way better value for meeting the princesses and using a dining credit than using 2 dining credits for Cinderella’s Royal Table. Also, Tim, I love these deeper dives into the Epcot pavilions!! Walking around the world showcase was an absolute highlight of my trip!

Can confirm Akershus is great, particularly for character interaction! It is very popular amongst performers so the princesses are always very happy to be there, it’s super fun! Regular lineup is Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, and Belle. Sometimes, Rapunzel or Mulan will pop in when another can’t make it 😉

We love the Akershus breakfast! It's delicious! Before Frozen, it used to be the easiest princess breakfast to get reservations for. Also, Kringla bakery was my favorite place to eat in Epcot. We would sit in the covered open-air patio and hand-feed the sparrows. Sometimes it would start to rain and we would enjoy the sights and smells of the fresh rain. I'm really worried about what Kringla will be like now. BTW, I have never tried the school bread! My go-to has always been the sweet pretzel with almonds. I will definitely get school bread next trip. Just discovered your videos this week. Amazing! Well done. Thank you for all the magic you and Jen share!
