On our way to summer camp every summer we stop at Little River Canon and hike down to our favorite swimming hole. I found this place while kayaking the river. The scouts and their parents love it and always want to come back. It is a short 20 min hike down to the river, along hugh overhanging cliff's. There are usually some climbers on the rocks on the weekend. On our way out we pass by Little River Falls and Desoto Falls. During the winter we take one of the week long holidays and set up camp somewhere and do day trips each day around he area. While the walls of Jerico is relative new but has gotten really popular. Most people don't realize how much there is to do in north Alabama.

Bless Kona for being unwell. Never realised dogs could get UTI's but it does make sense. The waterfall at the start was stunning - toothpaste blue water, the free camp spot 😍 and the old school ice cream shop was awesome. I had a weekend away here in the UK last month and there was a old school ice cream shop that was along those lines, but the prices were about 3 times as much - I guess racking up the prices because it's so old it's come around and is trendy again. It was nice to see sensible prices on their board! Such a shame about the waterfall on the Walls of Jericho Trail - I've recently been editing a hike we did in Morocco where we had a similar story. The reward for the hike was meant to be the waterfall at the end before turning back, and it was a trickle! I did laugh at your sound effect editing when Adam slipped. The sunset at the end was such a beautiful way to end the Vlog. Never knew Alabama had such stunning countryside! As a side note, I'd struggled to find the time to listen to the Podcast you did for you friend's 100th show, and the other weekend, I was in Bulgaria and my flight was cancelled with work the next day. I spent a small fortune on last minute flights hopping across Europe to get home (thankful for travel insurance) but it was a much longer day than I'd expected. I downloaded the podcast and it was SO lovely to listen to you both recapping on your year last year. I could picture it all after having watched all the videos! It was also brilliant at keeping me calm

That is a bummer about the hike in Morocco! That country is on our bucket list as well! Luckily on the Walls of Jericho hike there was plenty to see otherwise so the dry fall at the end was okay. Haha Kathryn got me with that sound effect too! Oh thank you for listening! It was so awesome finally getting to meet him a couple weeks ago! Travel insurance definitely comes in handy some times!

So my mother's cousins were the Trowbridges who lived in John Day, Oregon, and were ranchers. That part of her family came over on the Oregon trail. So I guess there's a possibility that there's sort of a distant cousin thing with the ice cream parlor. Cool!

This is so beautiful! I had no idea Alabama had all these trees, caves, hills, waterfalls. Since I’ve never been to Alabama, I believed it was all just swamp land. I would love to visit Northern Alabama! Absolutely beautiful!! Are there alligators that far North?

I would like to go there sometime. I have seen Ride out falls in Hamilton and Noccalula falls in Gadsden where the Indian Princess jumped to her death. Beautiful Waterfalls, thanks for the video.
