AWP returns to the Lake of Ozarks in a continuous search for Donald Lee Erwin, known affectionately as Donnie, who mysteriously disappeared on December 29th, 2013. Avid watchers will recall that we have explored these murky waters before in our search for Donnie.

Donnie disappeared in his 2002 Hyundai Elantra, having headed to a store in Camdenton, Missouri to buy cigarettes. A staple in his community and deeply missed by his family, especially his sister Yvonne, who has spent the last eight years hoping for answers.
Challenged by thunder, lightning, and the destructive aftermath of severe storms, we continue our meticulous search, unwavering in our quest to bring closure to Donnie's family.
Despite being met with obstacles such as blown-out roads and a dangerously turbulent dam, the team perseveres. We consult maps, analyze previous search footage, and devise new strategies to ensure we cover all potential locations where Donnie might be.
Donnie is a disabled veteran with his left leg amputated above the knee with the unfortunate discussions of needing to amputate his other leg soon.
As civilian divers cracking cold cases for free, we represent the last hope for many families who have given up on finding their missing loved ones. This episode vividly illustrates the risks and challenges involved in underwater searches, especially in adverse weather conditions and challenging terrain.
In one poignant scene, we hold a group discussion to address safety concerns about searching near a low-head dam, which is notorious for its dangerous currents. We discuss various safety measures, highlighting the severity of the situation and our unwavering commitment to this critical mission.

Thank you for what you do Jared. If I was a diver I would come out. Unfortunately I’m just an old disabled trucker that’s only good for where to go eat and been everywhere in the US and most of Canada. Keep it up. If feel if one doesn’t have closer it is the worst kind of pain.

I was born and raised at the lake of the ozarks, it's really weird seeing an episode from home. I used to fish from those docks at Ha Ha Tonka and I was baptized as a teenager where they were searching.

What you said at the end of this video really hits you in the heart. Because I feel the pain these people are going through and you all try your best to help find these people that are lost. Every episode I watch I can't stop watching and hoping the best for the families you all have a heart of gold and I am always hoping that each episode is going to have a happy ending and that the families can get the closure they need. I know you are not super heroes and that every case may not have the ending you are hoping for but at the end of the day you tried and that's what makes the difference especially in the world we are living in right now you don't give up. But anyway you guys are great and if I am still alive before you that's how I want to remember you all that you tried when others gave up on these families. Thank You All So Much. at times we fail to realize how precious life is. when one least expect it tragedies occur. god has definetely blessed the AWP team with the gift of bringing loved ones home so that the families can have some type of closure. Echo Divers found Donnie. He was by the airport and cemetery in a small pond on December 14, 2023, 3.5 miles from his home. It is really nice to see people out looking for missing people.

@geneg4246 that's fine. If so, I think it is crazy how AWP was denied access to the pond, but Echo Divers used the drone to find the vehicle and then was granted access. If only AWP was given access prior, he would have been recovered a year ago.

@@mystiesharp1087 I agree. Find it interesting peoples attitude. From police, people looking, asking for facts, to running the plates. How about " let's all help find this people". Some of these have been super simple ( not making fun of all that goes into the search). An example, the lady who was in a green box SUV. Was the top 12" below the surface. The water was green as was the car. At the end of a dead end dirt road. Glad she was found!!!

AWP, Jared, Doug - I can speak on behalf of myself and so many others that you have taught us kindness can truly bring peace to us all, even in times of ultimate grief. We can be there for one another, we can help one another, we can love one anothe through times of great loss since it is something we will all experience one day. Thank you for the time, the effort, and the empathy you give to these families. This grief is so unique to them because they can't find their loved ones without you. Seeing those answers you give is true human decency. Thank you, AWP (and the other KZfaq divers that have worked with you as well).

I got roasted awhile ago for commenting that this so called woman is coming off very shady. One thing in making comments and allegations against Jared but she went to through AWP, emailed AWP, and fractured the group. Trying to destroy everything that was built... the most unselfish dedicated organization providing closure for missing people’s loved ones. It sucks people left… they are all great people too but the at the end of the day… this has and always will always something that Jared created and evolved into what AWP is today. And it is because of Jared that those other individuals are continuing to do “similar” KZfaq channels and use the skills he taught him to continue helping with cold case investigations. In the end, I have watched and listened to AWP grow from river clean up to finding that first car and man. I have followed from the beginning and mostly it has to do with Jared’s passion… you can not fake empathy and care.

You completely missed a huge area by the tunnel dam. On top of that ridge that overlooks the dam there is a gravel road, Tunnel Dam Rd. that has almost vertical cliffs on either side. Its called Meades Bluff. You could easily drive a car off of that and into the river by the old power plant or drive off the road into the woods and never be found. Really that whole river shoupd be scanned, so many places to drive off. If i were to off myself back there, it would be off that cliff

@@judi_just_judi wow, I am 13 minutes into that video you suggested, and I have a load of thoughts running through my head. none of us REALLY knows the truth, however, as one of the people commenting that video said: "Exactly why I did not cancel my AWP membership. I have enough life experience to know that accusations are just that and unfortunately there are twisted people that make false accusations." As it seems, all of them had a F**** UP childhood, however, making one-person-accusations does not seem to be the right way to go here, if at all. They were all born into it. People make mistakes. All of them do. However, you can sense whether someone has a good-intended heart inside them or not. I'm stunned right now, did not hear about any of it before.

I stumbled across one of your videos just a couple of days ago you made in cooperation with Exploring with Nug. I was immediately intriggued of what you and all the other guys like chaos divers or AdamBrownAdventures do to give families answers. I watched dozens of videos since then and every single one touched my heart, especially the ones where you were able to bring someone home. But for me, living in germany, far away from the U.S., not having money to donate, there isn´t much to do to support you and your work. The only thing I can do is to subscribe to your channels (which I allready did) and watch your videos. But that doesn´t seem enough to me. I want to do more, but I have no idea what I can do from here.

i appreciate what you all do to help families but also the education you provide about safety, like pointing out roads with curves that could easily be missed. Maybe because I'm a Pisces(?) I'm always living next water and never really thought about the dangers is anything but swimming. I'm living next the water where Samantha Hopper was located. Now I do notice the curves with low or no guardrails, the areas that often flood, etc.

Love your work Jared and what you do for families who need answers. I just wonder would it not be handy to have underwater drone to use when you guys are in doubt? Is it a car? Is it some metal wreck? Or whatever could just throw the drone camera down. Maybe you have ruled out something that was a car that scare me. Keep up great work.
