Canine allergies are one of the most common cases you’ll see in general practice. It may seem necessary to refer those stubborn cases to a dermatologist, but before you do, be sure to do a thorough allergic workup. An allergic workup is key to identifying the underlying cause of pruritus and minimizing the severity and frequency of infections.
