What happens if a Jew lives far from synagogue? How does that individual get to shul on Sabbath? If the individual is not allowed to drive, then what dispensation do they get for not showing up at shul? Can they celebrate sabbath at home?

DonCornelius366 He is the One who sits at the right hand of power on high....the One who said "behold I stand at the door and knock".....the One who is called "Faithful & True" .....the One who is called the Logos of God.......the One who has a name written "King of Kings, and Lord of Lord." I've got to believe that is the One you are referring to?

Since chametz is representative of sin, why do you want to pass that 'sin' off to a non-Jew? Throw your chametz (sin) away, and don't pass it on to another person!

What is considered sin for Jews, is not always considered sin for Gentiles. G-d doesn't judge Gentiles according to the same law he judges Israel.

Gentiles or Noahides don’t have as many laws to follow. We need to follow the seven laws of Noah. If you want to learn/know more there’s a book you can buy through Amazon titled The Divine Code.

Hi rabbi! I have one quick question. How does any Jew today know if they are descended from King David? In order to be the Messiah one must be descended from King David on the fathers side. It just seems really hard to believe that any human being today can trace their lineage back for sure 3000 years.

Chat is a waste of time okay. That's very interesting. First I am a strong believer in God. But since I have been studying the Christian scriptures I find a whole lot of discrepancies. So I have started looking at the Torah and the Talmud. There's one thing about the Torah that is very disturbing to me. That is the Exodus story. I have been looking for historical evidence and archaeological evidence that would prove that the Exodus really happened and that the Hebrew people were really slaves in Egypt. Since I've been looking for that proof everything points to this story being totally fictional. There's no archaeological evidence there is no historical evidence that this actually took place. This really bothers me because if the Exodus is fictional then I might think that the holding is fictional. That would tell me that maybe God is not real, and that is very scary for me. Is there a rabbi that can set the record straight for me?

Mama Monkey please don't get me wrong. I love Judaism. But doesn't Judaism ask you to question things so that you can learn and have a more full understanding of things? There are plenty of holidays out there that have been totally fabricated. Take Christmas and Easter for the Christians. Normally things can be backed up by archaeological evidence, and if its not able to be backed up it doesn't mean that it did not happen. It just means that there is no evidence so you just have to take it off faith and belief. I totally believe the Torah with all my heart, and I know it to be true. If I've upset or offended anyone with my question. It was not my intention to do so.

Chat is a waste of time if you trust something is true without having any hard evidence behind it then that is what you would call faith or belief. There are plenty of Christians that just trust something. I can say the same thing that you just said about trusting that something is true. But what makes Judaism different? If you trust, believe, or have faith in something because your mom told you, then you don't really know do you? Can you remember standing at Mt sini? I don't. Christians say Jesus was seen by hundreds of people after he came back from the dead. Do you believe that? I don't.

Chat is a waste of time I'll only say this much. Christianity is a false religion just as Islam is. But one huge difference between Christianity Islam and Judaism is Christians and Muslims have the burden of having to cross examine the Scriptures with Jewish Scriptures. The first one has the advantage. Because everything that comes after it that says that is part 2 or part 3 has to be directly lined up with part 1. if Christians are a off shoot of Judaism just as Islam is they would have had to perfectly lined up their scriptures with Jewish Scriptures. Which we know they did a terrible job on that. So it's very easy to say that Christianity and Islam are false religions. But they can also make the same argument as we make with Mount Sinai and the Exodus. Who lives as a I witness to tell what happened?

Chat is a waste of time one thing that I do know is that our rabbis pick a part the Christian religion and the Muslim religion in front of their priest and so forth. And any Christian or Muslim who that happens to would turn from their fake religion if they were smart enough to do it. But a rabbi can not do the same to a historian or an archaeologist or an atheist . Because the burden of proof is much greater then. Try going to court and saying my grandfather saw this person kill this man. The judge will ask you where is your grandfather. Then if your grandfather is dead then he would say your grandfather testimony means nothing. Anyone can say someone saw something hundreds of years ago. Christians said that more than 500 people saw Jesus after he rose from the dead. And even further said some of those people who saw him were still alive when it was written. We all know that Jesus is not who Christians say that he is. But today you have more than two billion of them. I'm not saying that Judaism is a fake religion I believe that Judaism leads one closer to God. I try to be as observant as I can. Because that's what's good for me. But I just don't understand how we can say all these other religions have a bunch of made up stories when we can't even prove that our stories really happened.
