My grandmother just had a white wedding to my grandfather who cheated on her, well actually kind of took on a second wife, build her a house and kicked out my grandmother with her 9 children, she had to start from scratch, find a job and feed all her kids. Most of my uncle's and aunts couldn't go to university's only my mom did. Her pain and the pain of my mother and her siblings still lives on today but because of our culture and Christianity we had to do justice to our family name, we got my grandparents married to please the ancestors and open the doors for them when they both leave us on one day. As a 20 year old knowing their history I was so fascinated by this. Marriage is not there to be perfect for you. Marriage is more than two people's feelings or desires. My Grandfather's second wife was neglecting him, he wasn't getting fed and his own kids didn't care for him because he was now in his old age and couldn't work but my uncle's and aunts who got nothing from him embraced him even with all the pain, he would come to visit us and we would spoil him because love, blood and bond are stronger. With the Old age of 73 and 64 they finally had their white wedding. That's the day I knew what marrige is, its your legacy, your vow to God. My family are my role models. I'm lucky to be born in such a great family.

With all due respect, your grandfather was an idiot and you guys should not have shown him mercy. But that's just my opinion. You're Christian, so I understand your stance.
@vickykgoete31613 жыл бұрын
@@godpenuel Thats true, its the Christianity in us but also the family didn't do it for him only, we did it for us. It was healing for certain individuals and we believe that blessing came from that ceremony. Definitely my grandmother's faith rescued her and exalted her from her pain. Karma did come for my grandad so there was no need of beating a horse while he's down. Thanks for responding to my comment King of the Nguni.
@sophiangobeni73682 жыл бұрын
That's not marriage especially if you're to bring in Christianity into it, remember God formed the union of marriage and God does not condone infidelity, try and review your beliefs of what marriage truly is, also the union of marriage is between, God, a wife and a husband, it's a tripartite convenant that has nothing to do with not extended family members or ancestors for that matter.
@vickykgoete31612 жыл бұрын
@@sophiangobeni7368 You wanting me to review my beliefs is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. You can just say I don't understand your beliefs and that's okay.
@vickykgoete31612 жыл бұрын
@@sophiangobeni7368 You might want to consider that your interpretation of Christianity won't be the same for others. Just study the history of Christianity and you'll understand. It's okay that you don't relate, understand nor know of what Christianity means to me but have some self respect and offer me some respect as well. To say that my grandparents marriage isn't a marriage? Sweetheart get off your high horse. Don't be disrespectful to things you know nothing about.

Well said, however you are using logic and reasoning to a gender that does not equip itself with those attributes and a society whose laws and legislation is solely catered towards the protection and advancement of the female gender in our country. Such is the narrative and status quo any type of reasoning in modern day relationships falls short when it comes to female rights and privileges. No matter how good of a man you are or have been you will always be the perpetrator.

Enhle is a liar. Enhle is proof that women can't survive without men.
@godpenuel3 жыл бұрын
I disagree with you. Many women get along very fine with men (who provide for them). There are single mothers raising families alone with no help. Let's not confuse matters. Enhle, and women like her, can be problematic, but she doesn't represent all or even most women.

She made it our business when she wanted support when was fists up infront the court and all that. So when she posts on a public platform makes statements she is open to a lot of people's opinions be it good of bad. Supportive or non-supportive. When some one at her stature comes out to the public that she has been abused. Abuse is the most sensitive thing in this country.

It's true that it's non of his business ,not yours either,the point is,it's not a sin in Africa to give an advice to any fellow African,its either he/she takes it or ignore it,that's exactly what Penuel is doing here,I don't know what u are doing,maybe u can explain your agenda.
