I survived the Arctic winter in a self built camper van

Unfortunately this is the final part of my Arctic van life road trip. This episode started off with a little accident where I may have crashed the van into a snow bank... Fortunately ‪@MispronouncedAdventures‬ was on hand to help!
Following a mini rescue operation, I continued the journey. I thought I'd spend the 2nd to last night out of the van, so I took a very unique taxi to a small cabin that's sat on top of a frozen lake! It was an amazing experience and a great way to unwind and reflect on the trip and everything I've done.
After this I wanted to bring you guys along for one final night in the van, so I headed towards the coast and found a little village to stay for the night. And before heading home, I had one last thing in mind. To drive my camper van onto an ice road, out on the frozen sea!

There’s not many people I’m in awe of mate, after 42 years in the Army, I thought I’d meet them all, but I’m truly in awe of you and your thirst for Adzventures. Hey Adz, been watching you for a little while as I find you quite amusing but my word, you blew it out of the park at the end! I lost my Brother and my Dad to Covid just 10 days apart but it gave us the ass kicking we needed to buy a motorhome and go full time. We're 8 months in and wouldn't change it for the world. Yes, people should enjoy their time. I'm 66, and l harp on about keeping fit as you get older. I see so many folk my age sitting around eating biscuits, getting fat, and giving up before the final 🔔 . Most of us have a choice of what we do with our time, and if we are lucky to have that choice, we should choose wisely.

Adz me ol mate, if you had spare bit of 2x2 or breaker bar you could have put through the wheel that was spinning to lock it up, it sends all the power to the other wheel, bit like a diff lock. Another fantastic, funny vlog Adam, great drone work too. The words at the end are so true & I wish I understood them 14:41 when young. I was lucky to travel the world with my job BUT for instance, I went to china 4 times before I realised I only saw the inside of a hotel, taxis, offices, power stations & airport lounges. That changed my thinking & tried to see at least some of the counties & locals of the many countries I worked in & I have to say I was made welcome in every country just by respecting their culture & religion with a smile & please & thank you’s. Now at 70 years old I have some great memories, just wish I found out about things when I was your age not 40!!! Keep up the great content & Humorous narrative along with fantastic camera work, on your next adventure😁well done sir 👍

Great to see you in our neighbourhood in Gammelstad (the place with the large log pile, and yes the smell from that pile has been wonderful! Fun fact: the trees have been cut down to create a better habitat for an endangered species of woodpecker in the nearby forest). Next time come and say hi!
