From the very beginning, I liked the series "House of the Dragon", thanks to a good script and selected actors. I especially liked how the roles of Damon and young Rhaenyra were performed. I fell in love with them😊😍.
But! When Aemond Targaryen appeared on the screen for the first time, played by Ewan Mitchell, I was just stunned! He's so awesome!! He eclipsed for me everyone who was shown before, but it's not surprising. I think I'm not the only one who's crazy about him😏💚.
p.s. In this video, I tried to show him as he was in George Martin's books

Imagine claiming a dragon as mighty as Vhagar at such a young age, he also didn't whine like Joffrey when he was injured.

He was much older than joffrey just so you know, and everybody responds to pain differently. For example, some women may make a higher pitched or louder sound when hurt but that doesn't make them less strong or resilient. King Viserys wished to be tested to prove himself, yet he was not. He was known as a good king, but not the best strategist or soldier or man-of-the-people for he was not tested. Aemond was tested, and he proved his strength; but one could consider that neither joffrey nor his brothers were given a chance to prove themselves as Aemond was.

@@oliviavpb3482 i believe they were talking about joffrey baratheon, not one of rhaenyra’ sons, specifically comparing the time when joffrey was bitten by nymeria (and he did whine) to aemond’s injury.

Honestly I think that Aemond's eye for an eye idea was righteous. He was bullied for years for not bonding with a dragon like his siblings and cousins. He fought with them when he finally got one. He lost his eye because of it, doing something to fit in and not get teased by his family. Then he was yelled at for being attacked by his cousin. When he told his cousin to get a pig he was just referring to the fact that his brother and cousins gave him a pig dressed as a dragon. All he wanted was revenge, to make his cousin understand his pain and embarrassment as a child. He regretted killing Lucerys which shows that he never wanted this to happen and only meant it as a simple act of revenge.

R.I.P. Luke Strong. Two different family branches of House Targaryen: both half Targaryen via one of their parents; one side legitimate, the other illegitimate, fighting for claim of the Iron Throne, both sides decimated, only for the very young survivors of the aftermath: both true Targaryens through of their parents…their is a tragedy c irony in the outcome of this dynastic civil war. Despite two true Targaryens inheriting the Iron Throne in the aftermath of their House’s Civil War, the decline of the Age of Dragons in Westeros abruptly came to an end.
