I saw one of the Aer Lingus A321neo in Toronto last week, they look really nice. Also I think the flat-bed business and IFE at all seats is a really nice change compared to most European short-haul aircraft with euro-business and no IFE.

I'm 38 and have never been on a plane! I would love to but I'm a very anxious person especially in closed spaces and heights....

I'm terrified of heights and generally shy away from people but I love flying. Take off is my favourite part. Keep thinking about the excitement of going to a new destination and scroll through the in flight entertainment to take your mind off hurtling through the air at 500mph+. Be in awe of the power of human ability instead of letting worry get you down. Turbulence feels like being in a bus driving on a bumpy road and it generally doesn't last very long. It's not as scary as you might think. Let the bumps of landing be reassurance that you're back on the ground.

What did you think of the A321neo? Comfortable enough for a transcon flight?

Thanks for the comment. I was very impressed by the Neo, the seats were comfortable. Legroom may not be the best but it’s okay. The flight wasn’t that full so was able to stretch out a bit. And the Ife was good. I’d definitely recommend the Neo for transon flights, more than comfortable enough.
