@@lordrobert12 Aero is bigger, stronger (not sure if older cuz I think she says something below about that and how he's given her problems in the past) and well-schooled. She was patient, looking for opening to apply her offensive advantages: size, leverage, legs. Imo, this was made easier with the gi cuz she was able to slow down his slipperiness with garment as leverage. In this match it definitely looked like her win was inevitable. Maybe neither wins by submission is a believable outcome (before the match) but you have to say if one of them was to gain submission over the other, he'd be the one tapping to either arm bar or triangle. And he did...and quickly. Really lopsided.

Don't bash on her for that, she had good technique too. Lots of hip framing with her legs, good angles, and most importantly GRIPS. And don't forget the "little guy" out ranks her. I've had my ass handed to me by smaller people and wrap up some 300lb blue belts on a good day. Just saying, I was rooting for that little guy 😅 and his cartwheel pass.

It was a good matchup. She was bigger and stronger but the guy was super quick and slippery.....it happens all the time. It is just a contrast of styles.... styles make fights as they say in boxing.

We are the same age but he is obviously a lot smaller than me. This was the absolute bracket where only age matters. He beat some big kids to make it to the finals and he fought super hard.

This match was last year. I’m about 5’5” now. Sergio is very small but dangerous, and he actually beat me in the finals of BFA No Gi.

There are also videos of this girl beating guys larger and heavier than her. BTW, the belt huge difference is not something to ignore. At that age there is not much testosterone difference, so it is mostly talent, will and DNA, counting also the lower rate of girls practicing this sport vs guys.

AngelLestat2 I’m not discreditting her ability, she is obviously very talented. Being bigger doesn’t mean you cheat. That was a horrible matchup though. The kid was too small for her. Edit: The other guys she fought in other videos aren’t “much” larger or bigger, just slightly. That is not a size difference at all.

hi. She was 11 at the time. This boy is really small. she was 5'5 at 12, then i guess probably like 5'3 or 5'2 at the time. and he? hes a really short boy probably like barerly 4 feet if not less. I doubt with him being that short, that he will ever catch her up. But, it will surely decrease

A man being physically dominated by a woman should be a rare exception, making it seem commonplace by archiving these videos online is a bad idea. These boys will never be considered "Alpha Males" as long as there is a video of them losing to a girl on the internet (if people choose to use it against them). Memory based intelligence/previous experience is what makes the difference here, if they make one mistake, they could lose to girl. It is not a good look for men on a societal level. Boys should only compete with girls once they are much more advanced.

Well it was the 11 year old division and these were the only kids left since it was the championship round. I don't think there are any divisions based on your size so what do you expect them to do? They are the same age. He's just smaller.

Thanks! He is small, but don't let that fool you. Sergio is one of the best pound for pound kids in the country and has beat a lot of kids my size and bigger. The biggest kid in the division was on Sergio's side of the bracket, and Sergio still made it to the finals vs me.

this kid is a leg choke queen. boys hate (even today) to give in to girls if they don't have to. I can assure you that the reason they are giving up quickly is due to her technique making it a raid, inescapable choke or for some reason it hurts like heck...while denying them any mobility.

Exactly correct.. it's also distracting for the silent one who is constantly hearing coaching of their opponents being yelled in their ears.. its ruined the sport. Jujitsu us somewhat of a scam. It's great exercise but all the pi practitioners are pawns being used as paying fans for the billion dollar. UFC . And false sense of security.. in a mugging or confrontation , no one will grapple, if they know the art, itvtakes a single second to defeat and disarm and rob a jujitsu practitioner with the exception of the black belt masters but not because they are juijts experts but because they are 99% of the time fit and no one would ever mug someone who looks fit and capable. The phenom is over.. the secret is out and over. . Isolating and eliminating a limb no longer works if you dont offer it up. In this match , proper coaching with the smaller boy and he would have destroyed the girl. All she did was defensive possum and suckered and lured the boy into her trap. It only works with untrained offensive newbies. With that said, the girl was pretty good, but needs more offense in her arsenal

@Urarettin -D- Lexxar it's not dumb. As an art, it focuses heavily on succeeding in a fight after you've been taken to the ground. Many people don't know what theyre doing in a fight when, after they discover they aren't Rocky Marciano, they end up ground and clueless. Not good. In that environment, have lightning quick skills allowing you to choke out your assailant from the bottom or break his arm (if necessary) suddenly could save your life. No, like all fighting arts, none are "complete" in area or areas they focus on.

@Urarettin -D- Lexxar you're punching at air and missed my meaning. I agree that BJJ is an incomplete art or sport or fighting style. But...I'm saying that the old Gracie gent who crafted this a long time ago has stated that BJJ was a variation or supplement to long-standing Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, and was aimed at completing that skill by focusing on ground fighting, esp after you might unfortunately end up on the ground and it your back. The problem with BJJ is that it must be taught with that philosophy that if your goal is to become a pro fighter or train MMA, you're going to have to integrate at least kick boxing and wrestling basics in, as well. But, if a kid if is in BJJ, and is good from their back using those techniques, going to your back makes perfect sense...just make sure your kid knows (even if not training other skills) that the sport is a truncated, but quite worthwhile, aspect of overall fighting skill.
