Best 300 HP experimental airplane engine for under $30k - 350 HP turbo version good up to 18,000 ft. 50-100 lbs less than Lycoming or Continental 6 cylinder engines, with more power, and modern technology.

There is a lot of wrong info here. The veloce 400 seems awesome, but not sure what is going on with this engine info. The LSV is a 7.2 cat, and the LS5 is a 4 cylinder. This would have to be a LU3 or LV1. These engines are LT based, not LS based. You mension coil per plug, but the pictures clearly show a distributor. There would be absolutely no reason to retain the vlom, and it is a huge failure point for the ls and lt engines. You are correct about the need for oil changes and the filter for the vlom. However, it should be deleted as there is no need for DOD in an aircraft. If it does infact have the vlom, it would have to be the LU3. Gm got rid of it on the newest one, the LV1. They should put some info up their website. Did some more research, remembering this is from the industrial line. The pics of the plane match. The thing weighs about as much as an ls3, and I highly doubt they can squeak out 300 na. Engine is rated at 135hp for gens and forklifts. It is rated at 220 in the boat. No way are you getting another 80hp out of an industrial engine. The lv1 is rated at 295, but it is not an industrial engine. It is also way lighter and doable. This industrial engine is not even close to meeting the listed specs.

LV1 or lV3 is the base engine, LV3 needs some extra mods to make it like LV1. It is LT based and alot of the LS stuff still fits directly on it as well. The photo is of the old engines they made, now they modernized it.

@@jamiefettig thanks for the reply. That makes sense. May want to delete this vid and make a new one with the current info. I really like the plane. Hopefully in my near future.
