Bitte! Ich denke, dass das AE-10 auch für einen Anfänger gut spielbar ist. Das AE05 (GO) oder sogar das AE01 (mini) ist eine Überlegung wert, wenn du weniger Geld ausgeben willst bzw. dir nicht sicher bist, ob ein Blaswandler tatsächlich etwas für dich ist. Als "Übungssaxofon" eignet sich aus meiner Sicht ein Aerophone nur eingeschränkt. Es ist zwar an das Saxofon angelehnt und erleichtert das Spielen, wenn du bereits Saxofon spielst, aber Mechanik und Ansatz sind dann doch zu unterschiedlich bzw. übernehmen eine andere Funktion als beim akustischen Saxofon. Mit dem Aerophone kannst du also nicht "leise/elektronisch Saxofon üben" - meine Meinung. Das heißt nicht, dass man nicht AE-10 und Saxofon spielen kann; ich mach's auf jeden Fall in meiner Freizeit und habe Spaß dabei. Ich befürchte aber, dass die Überschneidungen zwischen den beiden Instrumenten weniger groß sind, als du erhoffst. LG

There is a transposition function. So you can set any key you want.

There ist a recorder fingering you can chose. This uses standard recorder fingering. With this fingering, the side keys are disabled so that the note does not change even if you inadvertently press the left or right side key.

Many thanks for your comment. Only the Aerophone models have their own speakers. The EWI has no built-in speakers. If you also want lots of internal sounds, the most expensive Aerophone (AE-10) has much more sounds than the Aerophone GO or the Aerophone mini. But if you want to play the instrument with software instruments (MIDI), you can also do that with the AE-05/GO or the AE-01/mini. For the Aerophone mini there is also a mouthpiece without reed. This might be easier for you, because you have played the recorder before. But the mini has no bite sensor, which means that pitch bending is not possible. I only have personal experience with the AE-10 and I am happy with it. It is of course much more expensive than the mini/AE-01, but it offers more possibilities. It is difficult to give a recommendation. If you are unsure and do not want to spend too much money, one of the cheaper models (mini or GO) is probably the better choice. I also recommend the channel of Alistair Parnell (iSax): kzfaq.info/love/_xHaD_f0h8S6MgvVvVG4Hw. Unlike me, he is a professional musician and is familiar with all three aerophone models. Gern geschehen. Ich schätze, dass es für einen Anfänger ohne musikalisches Vorwissen einfacher ist, dem Aerophone einen Ton zu entlocken als einem Saxofon oder einer Trompete. Sich das Aerophone selbst als Hobby beizubringen ist deshalb sicher möglich; schließlich gibt es unzählige Hobbymusikanten, die sich irgendein anderes Instrument selbst beigebracht haben, obwohl sie nie Musikunterricht hatten. Dies sollte deshalb mit dem Aerophone genauso möglich sein. Ein musikalisches Grundverständnis (Tonleitern, Notenlesen, Ansatztechnik etc.) dürfte es aber sicher erleichtern, mit dem Aerophone (oder jedem anderen Instrument) zurechtzukommen. Insofern rate ich einem Anfänger nicht von einem Aerophone ab, sofern du nicht erwartest, dass du es von heute auf morgen im Schlaf beherrschst.

The price for the Aerophone AE-10 is reasonable in my opinion, if you compare it to the price of a real saxophone or clarinet. But you can of course try a cheaper Aerophone GO or the new Aerophone mini. These models come with only a handful of internal sounds, but you can of course also use them as controller for a software synthesizer or use the additonal sounds on the app for these models. I plan to talk about 3 main differences between AE-10 an EWI5000 in my next video. The EWI5000 has also about 100 internal sounds, but a different mouthpiece, touch-sensitive keys and another key layout. Personally, I prefer the AE-10, but this is maybe because I play the saxophone and clarinet and the AE-10 has a mouthpiece similar to these instruments. Nevertheless, the EWI5000 is also a good electronic wind instrument, if you ask me.

I will keep on reading more stuff, there is also the sylphyo which is very different but attractive too. Maybe Black Friday will bring some nice discount.

Vielleicht hast du es ja inzwischen selbst rausgefunden, aber hier doch noch eine Antwort von mir 😊 Die Instrumente beim Aerophone AE-10 sind in der Regel wie ihre akustischen Verwandten gestimmt, also die Geige in C, die Klarinette in Bb, das Altsaxofon in Eb. Wenn du also Altsaxofonnoten in Eb hast, kannst du diese zwar mit dem Geigensound des Aerophone AE-10 spielen, dann stimmt aber die "klingende Tonart" nicht. Wenn du also mit jemand anderem zusammen spielen willst, musst du entweder den Geigensound auf dem Aerophone auch auf Eb transponieren, wenn du die Saxofonnoten spielst (oder umgekehrt die Saxofonnoten nach C transponieren). Ich hoffe das ist verständlich erklärt ... 😊

Leider ist in der Kurzanleitung von Roland wenig Hintergrundinformation und Tips zu finden und eine deutschsprachige Instrumentenschule hab ich bis jetzt noch nicht gefunden. Die Sounds beim Aerophone AE-10 gefallen mir besser als beim EWI Solo und ich denke, dass das AE-10 einfacher zu lernen ist. Insgesamt glaube ich aber, dass das EWI Solo das bessere Instrument ist. Interesting question, thanks ... So far I never really noticed that the sounds 1/3 or 2/4 sound identical. According to the manual the variants with the label "plus" are sounds "that allow rich performance expression even for a beginner". So the difference is not in the timbre, but in the sound settings. I took a quick look at the settings of Tenor Sax (2) and Tenor Sax plus (4) on my Aerophone AE-10 and noticed that for example the pitch control values (PitDown/Up) are different for the plus sounds than for the "normal" sounds. In my opinion the bite sensor feels less sensitive with the plus sounds, which makes sense, since this makes it easier for beginners to control the sound. In short: The "normal" sounds are intended for advanced players and the "plus" sounds for beginners.

I am relying on the documents I downloaded from Roland's site. I will sit down and look deeper into the settings today. In my opinion, you have to blow much harder with the regular saxophone. The Aerophone is easier concerning the air you have to blow into the instrument.

Vielen Dank für deinen Kommentar, Rolf. Wenn dir mein Video die Entscheidung erleichtert hat, wenn auch zuungunsten eines Aerophone, umso besser. Ein Profimusiker - was ich nicht bin - könnte sicher noch mehr aus dem Instrument rausholen (ich nenne es Instrument :-), der Grundsound der intern gespeicherten Klänge ist aber vorgegeben. Insofern hast du zweifellos recht: ein Blaswandler ist kein Ersatz für ein Saxophon (oder ein anderes Instrument). Wer also eine (elektronische) Alternative zum Saxophon sucht, dürfte nicht glücklich werden mit dem AE-10 oder einem anderen Modell. Ich habe deshalb eine andere Herangehensweise. Ich sehe das Aerophone als eigenständiges elektronisches Blasinstrument (oder von mir aus Musikspielzeug), das mir die Möglichkeit gibt, mit unterschiedlichen Klängen zu experimentieren. Dass das Aerophone saxophonähnlich ist (Mundstück, Tastenlayout) erleichtert mir das Spielen. Und mit dieser Haltung macht mir das Instrument Spass. Mein schon etwas älteres Altosax (Buffet Super Dynaction) würde ich aber nie gegen das Aerophone eintauschen wollen …

Merci d'avoir regardé la vidéo en entier. Je suis désolé si c'était pénible, mais je suis heureux que cela ait aidé à décider si tu veux acheter un aérophone. Pour moi, c'est juste un passe-temps, donc je m'amuse avec l'instrument, mais je peux bien comprendre que certaines personnes pensent que les sons ne sont pas assez réalistes.

Since I only play the aerophone as a hobby and have never had any lessons, you are absolutely right: I AM a beginner :-) Therefore, the video also shows that a wind controller does not automatically sound good, just because it is easier for a beginner to produce a sound than with a "real" acoustic instrument.
