I don't understand some of the comments here. The aeropress has existed since 2005, costs like 30$ max and is the go to "I need me a good coffee that doesn't take longer than 2 minutes" brewer. Literally just pour grounds in, water on top, insert plunger, wait a little, push plunger down. It's not a new first world hipster device that's somehow pretentious compared to italian mokka pots, drip machines or espresso machines. The only thing pretentious about these vids is trying to make everything _aesthetic_ but it's just a regular manual brewer, get your ass out of mc donalds if you think this little plastic tube is extra lol

it's a brewer that doesn't make espresso but makes something closer to a french press or pour over
@shaheerrahman4278 Жыл бұрын
You can fill it all the way up with water or make a concentrated shot and add water to dilute it. Both of those methods make something similar to brewed coffee or pour over but it's generally more balanced and harder to screw up. You also have more freedom to grind coarser or finer and try different soaking times to see what u like best. It has a paper filter so it isn't as oily as french press but you can add a metal filter to make it more similar to that too. It doesn't make espresso but you can make concentrated shots and add milk to make something similar to an espresso milk coffee drinks
@ZonalJump97 Жыл бұрын
Not really, the Aeropress can't get up to the pressure that espresso needs to be espresso. It can make some strong coffee, but it's not espresso by definition It's more of the extreme version of the French Press
