Жыл бұрынShrouded in myth and legend, there is a tale of Yngvar the Far-Travelled, a Swedish Norseman whose existence has almost been lost to the ages, yet whose legacy is etched upon the ancient runestones of time. Árásaust, a phrase born of Old Norse that reverberates with its literal translation, "To Raid East" (Árás meaning "Raid" or "Assault," and aust symbolizing the "East"). Inspired by the audacious spirit of Yngvar, this saga unfolds across vast oceans and perilous waves, as he fearlessly charters his epic voyages, seizing distant lands and forging connections with diverse cultures that dwell in the corners of Midgard. It is through his momentous sojourns, stretching as far as the Middle East, that Yngvar's indomitable presence echoes through the tales of Norse mythology, embodying the relentless Viking spirit and unquenchable thirst for discovery, often at the cost of spilled blood.
Many of you have asked for another Persian/Eastern-influenced track like The Eastern Journey, so here it is. With this song I wanted to captivate the mystique of Yngvar the Far-Travelled while sonically introducing instruments and vocals from all over the world :)

I truly feel a lot of artists are just doing a rinse and repeat formula and the genre just gets stale in doing so. While I do have many influences from the genre, I also bring in all sorts of other genres that I believe sets my music apart. Haha but that's just my perspective. I appreciate the kind words!! 🍻

Reading the description of this Viking conqueror reminds me of Jard Ulfman, the Danish Viking who faced the Aztecs in Mexico and explorer in South America. The evidence of Vikings in South America is overwhelming, something that history wants to ignore. 2:43 the warrior atmosphere and the sound of the swords is fascinating, colossal Viking music ..⚔🔥
