The 2027 AFC Asian Cup will be the 19th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The tournament involves 24 national teams after the expansion in 2019. It will be held in Saudi Arabia. The tournament is scheduled to be held in January 2027.
Interestingly, only three of the eight stadiums submitted are venues that already exist: the impressive 60,000-seater from Jeddah, the recently extensively expanded Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium and the King Saud University Stadium from Riyadh, commissioned eight years ago. Other stadiums are to either be built from scratch, such as Dammam Stadium, Qiddiya Stadium and Riyadh Stadium, or be extensively rebuilt - these include King Fahd International Stadium and Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium. Also, the two stadiums reported as reserve stadiums are venues to undergo major reconstruction.

Looking forward on this 19th edition hosts of 2027 AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia. Stadium looks very awesome, but first, need to achieve qualify into this major tournament by qualifiers 2026 FIFA World Cup United 26 + 2027 AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia via group stage round 2 into round 3 WC qualifiers and get automatic slot into this event. From Malaysia fans, I loved this channel.

at 6:23 it’s called Arabian gulf . On the opposite side of the Gulf is the Arab state of Al-Ahwaz, which is occupied by Iran

Very excited my country is going to host the Asian Cup. I wish however they expanded the host cities outside of only three. Perhaps expanding and renovating King Abdulaziz Stadium in Makkah or King Abdullah Stadium in Buryadah

The information is not all correct. Riyadh Stadium has a capacity of 40,000, Qiddiya has a capacity of 40,000, and Al-Jawhara has a capacity of 65,000.and Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium, Dammam, a capacity of 36,000👍🏻

Many of the designs and capacities have changed (to the better), minimum is 40k because it will be built for the world cup too

I think the reason for picking these 3 cities is so the clubs can use them for their matches These 3 cities have most of the big clubs

they are the big 3 cities + only 2 cities where they will be properly used other times too. otherwise all saudi cities do have stadiums but dont have enough ppl to fill them due to small population

with all do respect its the arabian gulf . there is 7 arabian countries on the gulf ,more even on the Iranian side of the gulf is all arabs ethnically not Persians. it's the European who gave it that name otherwise the Persian are in the middle of modern iran and their side of the arabian gulf is arabs and bloshistan

The British empire invented the term Persian Gulf after the British supported Iran in their invasion of Ahwaz, to ease the movement of Oil in the Arabian Sea. Persian Gulf is not the correct name and if you look at very first map drawn of the region, you will notice Arabian Sea, not Persian gulf.
