Some random lore I doubt it true Ash had a crush on someone so she confess to her crush which got her into a relationship Unfortunately something happened to her love one (either a break up or something) Ash falls into despair and she became Mortis, a heartbroken version of Ash (I could guess that the black liquid is like the one on her dark eye base on the nimbasa core)
