Affinity Designer Mini Tutorial - Using the Outer Glow FX

Күн бұрынThis mini video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com uses the Outer Glow FX and Outer Shadow FX to create some glowy bugs.
In this video, I use basic shapes, the pen tool, gradients, and fx [mainly outer glow and outer shadow along with Gaussian blur] to create some shiny glowing insects.

Nice demo how to make a composition ! I like layering glows as well - creates cool unexpected effects !

I never realised the artboard was a vector object! i've found I can apply a vector warp to it too; not sure what I can do with that, but it's bound to come in useful some time.

I am not sure either... but it's a fun little things - hence the mention in this video ;)

One thing I have found is if I distort the artboard with the node tool then save it as a jpeg, it saves the whole shape with voids; if I apply a mesh warp instead, it saves only the original shape and clips off any 'overhanging' areas. (That's two things, isn't it!)
