I feel that race should not have any bonus or negative. Human categorization is the worsed thing that is happening more we split each other up the worse it is for us all we are people, a human that's it gender I can see why that's there it makes sense but I have always felt we don't deserve anything the fact we think we do is stupid everything you earn what you wor for I am poor really bad through school as I was a bit slow in subjects and super good in a few but no teacher gave a crap so I really feel that people should see their poverty is on both sides, no side is fair just wish people would stop saying everyone is Racist.

I don't think it's intellectually honest to suggest someone isn't what they identify as. I, too, was liberal in college and am now libertarian. I definitely was liberal during the time and wouldn't want someone saying, "You were just going with the flow and were always semi-conersvative at heart." That's like saying someone is or isn't really Christian due to their ideals being a bit unique to the traditions values of other Christians. Due to this, it is much more cognitively expansive to take how people identify (particularly politically or religiously) seriously.

You cant find me the valedictorian of even a small HS with an iq less than 120. Also the SAT functions similarly to an iq test, so it's safe to say her iq is at minimum 125. There's massive amounts of statistical data on this, you can google the mean iq of people by degree, by university, etc. and draw your own conclusions. Edit: If you noticed I didn't say her exact IQ, I ball parked a number you would need at minimum for that level of academic success.

Luke Farrugia College years are formative ones. It appears to me to be more intellectual curiosity than naivety or ignorance. Ignorance is an unwillingness to hear valid arguments that challenge your perspective. Anyways, it gives me hope that not all is lost at our academic institutions. Especially if Crowder, Shapiro, TPUSA keep up the red-pilling crusade.

@watchlearn1167
@watchlearn1167 4 жыл бұрын
Luke Farrugia if you don't have knowledge about a subject then you shouldn't be argumentative because you don't know what the hell you're talking about. That girl was about as informed as any other change my mind guest, just an average student at college, in other words, she essentially knows nothing. BUT unlike the average change my mind guest, She was aware of her lack of knowledge and utilized the socratic method from time to time and allowed Crowder's information to come into her mind without necessarily accepting it until the information became indesputible. What irritates viewers of Change My Mind isn't students with conviction, arguing crowder point by point, making his life harder, or any of that stuff. We love that. What we hate is the fact that they argue with conviction alongside flimsy arguments, logical fallacy, a refusal to even consider that they may just be wrong, and they always act in bad faith, not trusting Crowder's stats or definitions and often making up their own and lying just for what? To Try and win the argument? Simply put, they're terrible at arguing because they've never had their biases challenged, only reinforced. So they don't know how to handle it and revert to childish tactics mid argument because they don't know what the hell they're talking about AND worst of all, they think that arguing is some kind of battle where giving up ground is unacceptable and where winning at all costs is all that matters. That's not the point of arguing and they don't know that. It's sad. Pathetic. And it's occurring at college where we were told that these are the smartest of people. This is why we like this girl. Because she did none of that nonsense. She was thinking about what Crowder was saying and that's what you're supposed to do in an argument. I didn't say blindly accept what your opponent is saying, just to think about it and ask questions about it. Consider it, neither accept or reject it. That's what she did. That's why we like her. I cannot even think of one other instance where a guest actually asked Crowder a question without it being a bs attempt at a "got ya" question that Crowder could spot from a mile away and already had the response canned and ready to go. She had none of that. That's how she was even able to make Crowder genuinely laugh because her responses weren't university/diversity talking point lies. They were genuine as well. ;tldr unlike the average CMM guest, She was genuine, inquisitive, and acting in good faith and that's why we like her.

I was turned down in the past for a position with a Millwrights Union. I went to a trade school, Graduated second in my class, and had actually experience working in the field before I even finished school. When I spoke with a friend of mine who was in the Union , his father was also in the Union as a steward, and asked about my scores he stated that I had done very well on my test. When I asked why I was not brought into the apprentice program he explained that "this" year they had to hire a lot of minorities so I was passed up in an effort to diversify the work place. At the time I was OK with it as I believed that another maybe needed the job more. In hind site I think it is ridiculous and don't understand why you would pass up a qualified candidate because of the color of his/My skin. In reality I was not hired because I am white. I do hope that the man/woman who took my spot has done well for themselves and their families, if they ever had one. But they to should realize that they were given something because of the color of their skin. The exact thing that people of Color complain about: You get this because you are white.... Well you got this because you are ..... You can't call one thing racist while doing the same thing on the other side and call it justice. End Rant!

Also, I’d say the “sensitive boy” fad, as you’ve phrased it, is more of a media cover of your typical progressive. Same goes for your idiotic, gun wielding conservative. People with lower qualifications got into better schools than me, even though I did not come from a privileged background, and it hurts to know that my race was an actual barrier to going to a school that I wanted. Even when I applied to law school, I feel like I was again rejected from all my top choices because of my race, despite my high academic marks and community involvement. I always applied for every scholarship every year in college and law school, especially for the "minority diversity applicant", but never received any grants, just loans. I will graduate in two years, drowning in debt from all the loans I took out to attend okay schools. I just hope that the law firms don't invoke affirmative action on me when they're hiring and go "sorry, we have lots of Asians at our firms, and we're looking for a 'diverse' hire".

I have the same story, I am asian and I graduated near the top of my class, with test scores in the top 3%, had a 4 average on my 9 AP tests, was a 4 year varsity athlete, president of 4 clubs one of which I started myself, did a lot of community outreach, and yet I was rejected and waitlisted for every prestigious school I applied to but two of my white male friends with similar applications were accepted to these universities. At my predominantly white high school, the top 5 in my class were asian and only one of us made it to a prestigious university while those two white boys and another black boy with very high test scores but almost no extracurriculars are where we all dreamed to be.

this whole interview in a sense "does not count". she is am immigrant. i am a child of immigrants. i do not think we are better than established americans, but i have found from friends who were also first generation americans (bengali, french, greek, italian) that there is a different attitude about education, honoring the parents and loyalty to them, etc. sorry, she is very atypical of black americans. ethiopian and somali, in my personal experience, are WAY different in values and social mores than most urban/inner city black americans. she wasnt the idiot screaming at 55 seconds into the video.

@@jas22 exactly. The culture is different. The culture is holding people back. The culture is what needs to change. There are many black people, whose families have been here for generations, that come from single mother households, who work hard and get into college. Their mothers imparted a sense of self responsibility and a drive to succeed that resulted in their success.

@@terrych6175 I don't see that as much with immigrant though. I see that a lot more with those who are born in this countries or were here for multiple generation. Its an entitlement mentality that us Americans have and of course look for every possible way to encourage it, ex. affirmative action.
@AK-bj6fk

@@terrych6175 Exactly. It is sad that immigrants and minorities like her are not able to appreciate themselves and how big of a deal it is what they have done. When I used to grow up in India and went to graduate school in America, my mom told me that I could only compete with the West in one thing, which was education. She told me about the various opportunities present in the Western World and how if I studied extremely well, I could come to America and make something big out of myself(My dad was murdered because of gang activity, unfortunately). I graduated from IIT(the best college in India) in my hometown and got a masters degree at Sloan at MIT. I used to believe that if there was anything that this place looked at me for, it was my education. However, now people are seeing race and gender as a means to pick and choose. It demeans the person who wants to actually study and make something out of themselves.

A small percentage of the black community believes something the right believes and they milk that and use it as a cop out. "Because this black person agrees with me that means I'm right!"
