The only reason Wise would have used a 9015 (which required modification to remove ghost-date position), instead of the 9039 (natively date-less); is because only the 9015 is offered by Miyota as a Gilt Gold Tone version. This really demonstrates the attention to detail that Wise provides, as they could have just gone the easy route, especially as it’s just for the rear display.

Hello and thanks for this video. You are the first one who, more or less, succeded to show how mesmerizing the dial patern is. This dial + the 2 amazingly comfortable srtaps + the magnificent box ... It all makes me the lucky, and somewhat proud, owner of one of the 999 copies of this watch.

In Thai culture, 24k gold brings good luck to the owner and is a good omen. When children celebrate their 1st birthday, those closest to the parents usually give 24k gold necklaces or bracelets to the kid as to bring future good luck to the child. So it really is no wonder that a Thai watch would have a 24k gold dial.

First up, you have the best theme music, especially played at 1.2 its a real ear worm.. Second I just ordered 1 for my son's 21st along with a Shades of Thailand (no reviews 😢). My only gripe is the crest, it needs to be on the dial. It is so much better than the font. I think it would elevate the brand to the next level..

What a beautiful watch! Very classy and dressy. Perhaps flat colored hands (black, blue , dark green) would assist with legibility. Beautiful! Great vid. Keep at it!

Agreed that the pattern on the dial takes away from the rest of the watch. It's so busy as to be distracting. There are lots of good looking gold dials out there. Kudos to them for trying something different; it's just a shame that they didn't come up with something more refined.

What's the length of his the straps? I like the case enough to consider buying, but not at the expense of the straps not fitting my 8 inch wrist

Short end of the strap is 70mm, long end is 123mm. It fits my 7.5" wrist tightly with 4 notches unused. I think the overall length of the strap and the watch is about 9 inches. So I THINK you should be fine.

Wise seems to forget to communicate about the Thai traditional patterns that inspire the dial to foreign reviewers. So the complications on the dial is not out of no where but is to mimic a specific traditional Thai pattern.

Another great video Dave on a beautiful piece. I've recently heard of the micro-brand Wise. I've also seen other KZfaq watch bloggers refer to Wise as the Grand Seiko of the nitro-brand.

Wow! No they did not over do it. If this dial was on a higher end Swiss piece you would not criticize it for being over the top. If I were Rolex I would be taking notes.

I know some will like this kind of watch, and that's great. For me personally, it just looks tacky in a Chinese bling kind of way, and is seems over priced for the specs compared to other much better watches in this price bracket, many with Swiss movements too. Definitely not for me.

Looks nice, wouldn't order though, too worried about how customs could ruin the buyer experience in France. May having to pay extra only to receive it covered of disgusting fingerprints.😅

@@gideonMorrison Yeah, still a pass for me. $285 is about €262 so even if you pay VAT on stated price (which is kinda fraud anyway) it will had 20% on top of that, then if value exceed €150 you've to pay custom import fee scaled on nature and origin of the product often it's 4,5%. Cheery on top of course some adminitrative fee, usually it's €12. At least €340 total. Now imagine custom office googling the watch then charge VAT+Import fee on $770 (€710), here we are, €902.

With the economy the way it is ESPECIALLY in America, many of us have had to redefine the word "AFFORDABLE". Because not long ago 800 bucks wasnt to bad. Now....800 might as well be 8000 for many of us. Trump 2024. Its a beautiful watch though! Under different circumstances I'd love to have it.
