Longchamp is great. These super Lux brands may be popular in the US but you see women in France that are well put together looking more glamorous with Lonchamp and Polene bags vs flip flop yoga pants with LV on the arm in US. It’s how you wear the bag not the price.😌

So I have the small Mulberry Darley, bought it in Aug 2020 and sadly the chain broke few weeks ago when we went for a day trip. I brought the bag back to the store and the manager changed my bag to a new one, said “the bag is still under warranty”. That came as a huge surprise to both me and my husband. So so happy with their service! ♥️

Coach also has a lot of great canvas totes, I got one last year that was their monogram print, it doesn’t have drawstrings but it’s capacity is the same as the neverfull mm, I got it from their outlet website for $120. They have tons of cute totes under $200, even leather ones. Coach has a lot of similar styles to LV but affordable.

Now that I have tried coated canvas bags I feel like I can't quite go back to leather : this material (when well done of course) is scratch and life proof. While I take good care of my items, I am quite goofy and will give my bags quite a bad treatment. Coated canvas has been my savior so far!

💯 agree! I recently had a pay increase of 30k/year & totally thought “man now I can get even more of my dream bags” & planned on splurging on 1 to 5 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ BUT I still have yet to splurge! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Still might tho lol but also just trying to be smarter or more practical about $ (might splurge on one or two by Xmas tho lol 🤷🏻‍♀️🥰) BUT love that these are less expensive options! 👍👏

You can never go wrong with a Longchamps. I have a Coach boston bag from the 80s and a 30 year old Speedy 25 and love them both. 'Vegan' leather is mostly plastic and I'm not down with adding more plastic into the mix. That Celine box bag is stunning. Love the oxblood on the APC. I'd buy one. Coach also makes a bag similar to the Evelyne. They also have similar items to the WOC.

Great picks as usual! I use my longchamp daily as a work bag and it has held up really well considering. Also have a polene bag and was very surprised by the leather and quality. Great recommendations, thanks for sharing! I love my Neverfull but will definitely check out the Longchamp tote in the City line as I love epi leather - I feel it's near indestructible. Thanks to your recos I will also check out out APC and Mulberry items! My fave purse similar to the Gucci Soho is the JCrew Signet - I have 2 and was sad they're discontinued.

I love my canvas Celine Bostons. Have had vintage but now have the more current 19”. It comes in other sizes too and is a bit more understated in my opinion.

The coach emery is also very similar in shape to the evelyne and also costs lesser than the longchamp one. I just don't know if it is still available. I also feel the same with the neverfull. I will always choose the le pliage tote over the nf.

I screamed when you mentioned the APC grace bag! I bought it at the start of the year when several luxury websites had a sale on APC. It's an amazing bag. I wear it pretty much everyday when I'm not working. You can wear it during the day and on a casual nightout. I've also gotten so many compliments on this bag as it looks super fancy without breaking the bank.

I looooove bucket bags! But I have 3 classic Noes (azur, mono, blue epi), 2 petit Noes (mono and black epi) and 1 Noe bb (azur) and a Mcm vintage bucket bag. They are soooo good. I have 4 kids (7yo, 5yo, 3yo and 1yo) and bucket bags are most of the time my go to. U can stuff them like hell. The Longchamp bucket bag looks sooo cute and I can imagine to use such a bucket bag for mommy nights out 🥳

Totally agree on Neverfull vs LC le pliage city!!!! I got my black LC le pliage city in large size. Way better than neverfull. It has zipper and pockets. I planned to use if occasionally but it became my workhorse anyway 😂😂😂. I brought it for travel, daily, work, you name it. It fits macbook 13 with case, ipad pro and everything else. Seems like you can put your life in it 🤣🤣🤣. Since you can zip it, you dont need to worry spilling everything

I prefer flat bum bags. I researched that years ago and ended up with Kipling Presto. They've come out with version 2 since, that's way better. One of the front pockets went from velcro to zipped. The velcro failed on mine and I had to sew it on again. It was originally a cell phone pocket, and I had it long enough to have had a phone in that pocket.

Thank you for the video, Hanna, I’m a year late to it 😅 but as a longtime user of Longchamp and Mulberry, I completely agree that they’re brands with really excellent products that are equal to (or possibly better) than some of the really high end luxury brands. Love how you related the similar styles between brands vs the huge price differences! The WOC one is refreshing for me. Seeing the comparison in your video, I personally think that the Mulberry Darley is actually nicer than the Chanel WOC…?? I noticed Gucci released a mini Diana bag with chain and bamboo and it's about the same size as the WOC, it has a greater depth. Have you seen this bag... any thoughts? Thanks for sharing ❤️

Gucci was the first “luxury” handbag brand that I fell for, so I’ll always have a soft spot for the brand. Their bamboo handles are classic, signature Gucci. However I find they are tricky to style and sometimes throw off an entire look. This is just my two cents. I’d prefer to go with a simpler design without the bamboo detail. Hope this helps!

Rioni has a coated canvas alternative to the Neverfull and quite a few other bags. The quality is very similar to LV. The coated canvas is durable. There's vachetta that is coated with something that some are allergic to. I'm not. One of their bags is used daily. One screw keeps coming undone and after many years one thread must have come loose, because there's a thread I can see hanging. The lining is always the same material. Not wipeable. So I don't use the toiletry/cosmetic pouches for that. I've kept various devices in them. The rigidity of the coated canvas protects the devices better than most other options. But apart from that they're really high quality, and the monogram is way better looking than LV.

I've found several Rioni bags online that are excellent dupes/alternatives to LV bags. The prices are great. I really want to try the Neverfull alternative. It looks really good!

I managed to get a Ysl toy loulou before the price increase. Do you put any protective spray on it? Sunscreen on my hand tends to transfer onto the bag quite a bit.

You did a great job! So interesting alternatives:) I admire bucket bags from distance since I had one - LV Noe. Not functional for me and not elegant as for my point of view 😉 on other ppl it looks great but not for me:)

I hope cactus and mushroom leathers become much more readily available, since they can be farm grown. Vegan leather is often just vinyl, a plastic product, which sits in the environment. I think about trying coated canvas, but when I read the word canvas, I think of something that feels like a tarp.

Just be careful with these new leather alternatives. I got excited about them only to find they're still mostly chemicals and more traditional faux leather than cactus or mushroom. Also given they are meant to break down who knows the actual longevity.
