Affordable Housing is a vague term. These are affordable in the sense that it's lottery-based, and income-based. Tenants will only pay 30% of their income, and they have to have a salary that qualifies.

There's affordable housing buildings like this all over the Bronx now, they seem to be doing fine. This isn't the projects, it's not gonna be a bunch of trashy people but working class types.

@@duckmercy11 I believe in Adams and Hochul's promises given to migrants. CBS News, August 31, 2023, "The White House says funding is available for the NYC to provide housing for eligible asylum seekers families, which includes up to 14,000 vouchers".

Whose fault is that? Mental hospitals were shut down in the 90s because the patients were abused, and the mentally ill were tossed out onto the street. Without homeless shelters, they'd be on the street, which would make the U.S. look more ghetto.

@@mactastic144 there's no problem with it, migrants need a place to live, everybody does, but 100,000 people have come in just this summer to NYC so it's just a lot for the city to handle and work out
