The MG PHEV, does charge the battery while driving, you just have to adjust the settings on the driving mode console.

I was in the market for a plug-in hybrid and took this same spec MG for a test drive. Drove well and quite nippy in performance and visibility all around very good. it was when however, attempting a 3 point turn on a narrow street, that the info screen froze and would not display anything at all. Even the salesman was not surprised as he said, the infotainment screen is its biggest gripe with owners. Deal breaker for me. Bought the Eclipse Cross PHEV instead.

Should I go with HS ESSENCE 2.0L Turbo or EV top of the range ?
