You make a great and clear video. And you show a close- up screen for the part you're talking about. Smooth.

I ended up putting the kickstand in the back instead of front. I think it works much better and you can actually use your foot to open it. You'll have to bend it quite a bit so it balances with the handle. It's actually better because the handle goes straight up or slightly backward when resting instead of tipping forward. Now I have to figure out how to turn it on/off without having to bend down to push the button.

Bill, you're too funny :) thank you for your comment! I've become skilled on the back porch for the last couple of evenings, I can't wait to go for a ride around the neighborhood this weekend. Are you gonna try one of these out for yourself?

@@twHomeShow Under $500 is real tempting. I'm interested in ongoing costs too, as I don't see high volume usage for me - grown, no kids. I'm intrigued by the kickstand. I thought they self righted even when powered off. If that's not true, and they lay down, then you'd think everyone ever sold would have a kickstand; and if that, then why is it a separate purchase.

@@Bill_Woo Yeah, I hear you...I'm grown, NO kids as well...But don't let that stop you :) I've always been interested in having a Segway, when they first came out-but NO-WAY was I going to spend over $5,000. I wouldn't have bought these if I couldn't attach the handlebar. The handlebar makes it like the MINI Segway like I always wanted (just smaller). These things have such torque and power, it's amazing. It definitely should have been factory-equipped with the kick-stand. I hope you come-back for Segway-PART 2. I'm waiting for my OFF-ROAD tires to arrive. I tested the segway mini-pro, as-is, this evening in my little-bit overgrown grass out back and it does pretty well. But I'm expecting better results, once I transition it to an Off-Road Segway :)

@@twHomeShow Fascinating! You're a great storyteller, and all the details are helpful (I'm putting in all these screws halfway first so I don't drop them). I believe that's called useful exposition :) Heck yes, I'll be back. I rang that bell! This is a great story, and one I or anyone can play along to if they want, thanks to your make-it-easy to follow narrative and visuals.

They ARE NOT under 400.....not really! By the time you add the $115 handlebar, $30 silicone cover, $70 balancing weight,$169 scout bar,$22 kickstand ,$20 lock, oversize tire $70 to the $489 Still a nice ride though! Dont say the word skate or hover in the same sentence as SEGWAY though. NO COMPARISON

@@twHomeShow I just bought and received that product - IT DOES NOT WORK!! It doesn’t attach securely or easily, and even when I finally managed to attach it to the handlebar - though only barely, IT DID NOT stop the minipro from wandering forward! .

@@TjamVideoMan Hello, I can testify - IT DOES WORK! I have been using this on a 3rd Minipro since we purchased it. NOW, you may have a couple of issues. #1) Did you purchase the same handlebar that I have in the description? #2) After installation of the weight- did you go into the settings in the minipro app and adjust (or calibrate) the balancing setting < this is important. I hope you get it working how you want, as I did. -Todd

I have to say, I've seen video and forum posts of people over 70 being able to ride these things. BUT, the learning curve for someone with delayed response or reaction skill can be dangerous. AFTER you have learned the skill of riding this device, usually within a few minutes . . . . it is such a pleasure! BUT, while you're learning could be DANGEROUS! Keep the learning procedure . . .slow and precise!

Im 51. I had a stroke 6 years ago. I have about 30% usage of my left side. I just bought the mini S. I have tried twice now to get on it. First one Iasted about 5-7 seconds then in the floor I went. Second attempt, 3 seconds max and I was in the floor again. I am determined to figure this out but ow. Im at its max weight so hitting the floor at 220lbs hurts lol.

@@xDoomsdayx The first major hurdle is just learn how to step on it...stand still, and let it balance you. Don't try to balance it yourself, it does that for you....and then step off. Don't even try to drive it until you can master this simple first step. Oh and maybe on this step, try it on a freshly mowed lawn...if you do fall, it might make for a softer landing :) oohh, and one more thing, make sure you have the handlebar :) Wishing you the best. @@twHomeShow I bought the handlebar as well. I am trying to learn how to do it with the kneebar cause there are times I will need to use it but in general, I will want to use the handlebar. Just FYI, that's all I have tried to do is just stand on it without moving. 2 attempts and 2 times on the floor lol. I'm already sore from the last fall so I figured I will wait and try it again tomorrow. Im just not sure my damaged brain is going to be able to figure it out but I'm going to give it my all. So did you have to use anything to help balance you when you first started? I'm just worried because I don't have good use of my left side that I am not going to be able to do this. I mean, I can't stand still fine so I should be able to do it lol. I am trying to learn in my living room on the rug, figured it would be better then in the yard with the neighbors seeing me lol. Hopefully, I will have good news later. Thanks.

@@twHomeShow Ok, so interesting stuff. I have now gotten on and off it about 5 times and completed the tutorial. However, I have to use my cane to help me up on it just for stability. I can turn left fine but turning right is extremely difficult due to that being my stroke leg and really strains to move inward. I am pleased so far that I haven't fallen again yet lol. I suspect it may be time to put the handlebar on and try it instead but I really want to be able to use the kneebar. Maybe use the handlebar till I get completely comfy with riding then switch over to the kneebar for practice. Either way, I'm just happy to have ridden in a very small circle in my living room lol. Hurrah for small old man victories :)

@@twHomeShow Ok, so Wow! I put the handlebar on and what a difference!!!! I can get on and off without my cane now. Turning is soooo much easier as well. I have just been doing circles and whatnot in my living room and riding slowly through the some of the house and what a feeling. I've almost unlocked full speed, got like .1 mile to go. Funny, the cane made all the difference for me. Just having something in my hand to help with the initial balance getting on. BTW, I balanced mine with the handlebar on by wrapping a wrist weight around the bottom of the bar and now it is balancing perfectly and remote works great too. I will take it outside soon, just waiting on my helmet to arrive. After my second fall, I hit the back of my head on the floor and said yep, not riding it outside till I get a helmet. Amazon Prime for the win! :)
