DISCLAIMER: This is not a dance from Afghanistan - the name "Afghan Jalebi" is simply the name of the Bollywood song we are dancing to.
One of our bridal clients asked us to make this dance sequence - choreographed by Fleur but with some borrowed moves from Katrina Kaif's live tour adapted to our own dancing (as requested by client)
⌛ This is just an initial practice video! We were still memorising it when we filmed before studio closure... ⌛

I love belly dancing, and I'm in love with this channel. The costumes, the songs, the dancing, the flowing veils... I'm in tears because I'd love to go to this school, but I live in the other side of the world, literally *sobs*... :( I never took lessons of this type of dance because I thought myself too short and fat to accomplish those kind of movements, and because I didn't want to give any of my family members a heart attack with the costumes. You guys are beautiful!! All of you!! That is pure art!!

Thank you so much for your positive encouragement! Where do you live? There might be classes near you! We often feel inadequate or low self-esteem before starting a new skill but once we start, confidence follows. You are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L just as you are. I really hope you can experience the joys of belly dancing if it resonates with you, even if it's just doing it in the privacy of your home :-) And you can be as creative as you like with the costumes - they can be adapted to suit different perceptions. Hope this helps encourage you as much as your warmth towards us is 💜

I'm in tears. Thank you so much!! You are so nice!! I live in Buenos Aires, by the way, and it is my lifelong dream to go to London. Belly dancing is definitely on my possible projects for next year, as it is so beautiful and fun, but I've never danced before. It's encouraging and great to see women with all kind of body types so good at it!!

❤️❤️This brings back lovely memories of my days as a bellydancer in NYC in the early ‘70s - running to classes at Serena’s, Cia Cirel and Anahid Sofian. Some of us got together and formed our own dance troupe - the good old days! Keep on dancing! It is one of the greatest joys in life!!!
