1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
2 red dried chili
2-centimeter cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1 tsp coriander seed
1 tsp peppercorn
1 tsp cardamon seed
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp crushed ginger

why are you all fighting over who invented it, travel around and you will realise all recipes have similarities with some variations because they are from neighbouring regions. even within your country you will find shuttle differences. just come and appreciate the maker of the video if you like it. even if you prove origin of a particular dish what would you have achieved? after all we are all from Adam before our flags decided us. think big think good.

think good Agreed. I am actually Iranian and I can't care less about where the Kebab's originated from and more importantly the spices are different from the persian koobideh and I would love to try to afghan ver! (but well I am too lazy to make such a dish...maybe one day....) But seriously for example have you ever seen Chinese people arguing about noodles being originated from China and not Japan or Korea..? No. they can't even care less.. But unfortunately unlike them some of us are immature enough tp argue about stupid things just because we are racist towars out neighbor's.. I hope that this fact changes someday tho...It's really sad.

You are right. It is very popular with Iranians. The name that You guys use for this is "Kabob Koobideh". We Afghans sometimes say "Kabob Koobidah" or sometimes we say "Kabob Kofta". This type of kabob topped with gard ghoore angoor is very delicious.

I am soooo happy I found this video. An Afghan friend gave me his recipe years ago but I was never able to replicate it. This video fills in the missing pieces. Now I just need to find his chai tea recipe (his had condensed or evaporated milk in it).

Boil milk and the layer of solid that forms on top like a cloud or blanket over the milk is the condensed milk you are talking about
