He was an accompanying guest at The Music Room on 30 June 2018, where, by popular demand and request of the audience, he ended the programme with the above beautiful performance.
Shree Kirpal Singh Panesar played the "lehra" for him on Esraj.

This is my favorite teentaal tabla solo by far. I have listened to Zakir Hussain, Anindo Chatterjee, and so many others. But I keep coming back to this. Amazing job Shabaz Hussein.

I will never be that good but at 6yo my boy can be proud to have a real tabla kit while other American play Nintendo after school, for the same price. Really hard stuff to find in Canada by the way !

I personally admire a few tabla Nawaz like Mian Shaukat Hussain, Tari Khan sahab, Kumar Bose, Sanjoy Mukherjee, Nayan & Ishan Ghosh, Shahbaz Hussain, Mani Bhardwaj Ofcoz Thirakwa Khan sahab top of every one
